So there is only one games evidence of Rubio’s inability to shoot? Of course I won’t suggest you delete your account.

Rubio is a carrer 38 % shooter, he is a crap shooter. He is also a rubbish defender.
But Of course this is not a problem to Quin and Exum haters.

Exum's a career 39% shooter and 29% from 3 and he can't run the offense. I don't think Rubio is the long term answer at point guard but acting like Exum would be an upgrade over him if he was just given more minutes is ridiculous.

Exum is a lot more younger, athletic and a better defender than Rubio. He has not really been given a chance by quin.

The only way to find out if Dante would be better than rubio or not is to give him meaningful minutes and take on more responsibility, by playing him as a starting pg.
for 30, 40 games.

Let him make mistakes and learn on the court. But the jazz coach would never allow Dante to play with freedom
(which rubio and mitchell have ) because he is a dumb-arse.

Yeah, but you can't say we could spend Exum's money somewhere else AND appreciate Favors. You can't have it both ways.

Once we paid Favors, keeping Exum had no bearing on adding anyone else. We had the MLE we didn't use but once again, nothing to do with Exum.

If you want to rant on someone taking cap space, rant on Favors or Thabo. Their contracts limited us to Exum

Dude did Exum put a Gun to the Jazz front office's head to sign him again? No and he probably couldn't have shot that either lol. Exum can't make it in this league

Exum doesn’t have the ball handling skills or court vision to play point guard. We don’t need to start and play 30+ mins to learn this. I understand that Russell Westbrook has made some of you think that all it takes to be PG is to be more athletic than everyone else. But that’s just not the case for being a successful PG in this league. He’s the exception, not the rule. The PG position is still overwhelmingly dominated by the best ball handler and one who can manage the offense with superior court vision.

Exum doesn’t have those attributes nor is he an athletic monster like, Westbrook.

I agree. Exum needs to be a bench SG. Still think he could have a big role down the road.

Honestly, I think a few things need to be re-evaluated:

a). I think we play too fast. I’d like to see us slow things down and try and grind games out.

b). I’d like to see us focus more on getting high percentage shots inside. I know the trend is to go away from the paint and midrange and launch up 3s. But teams are leaving our shooters wide open for a reason.

c). I think it’s time to explore options at the 4 position. Favors is incredibly effective at the 5. But he and Gobert together just really struggle. When favors plays, he’s incredibly effective in the p&r game, moreso than even Gobert. I’d like to see more plays run with Favors than 3 point chucks from our perimeter players.

d). Ultimately, I’m fearful that this year might just be a step backwards. The west has improved (and our internal improvement has been disappointing), the game has changed with the new rules, and I’m not sure if this roster is capable of going on a tear like they did last year.

This loss was so depressing. They had an ok lead in the 3rd and just shut down. I feel like I've seen this same movie with this team over and over this season. They can't seem to hold onto a lead.

You tried there. I noticed.
