Can you guarantee he won't get injured? I mean whenever there is a positive talk about Gallo, he blows a knee.As I’m on the Gallo bandwagon, I don’t see a scenario where Jabari makes more sense, unless it’s to not guarantee his second year, but we’d have to be sending additional compensation to Chicago.
That’s the problem, though. You’re looking at the same thing in Jabari blowing his ACL twice and this is, what, only his 5th year? Can you guarantee he won't get injured? I mean whenever there is a positive talk about Gallo, he blows a knee.

I don't think they were all that interested in Favors. Had they been, the trade would have been a done deal. They were interested in a 1st round pick. Lindsey wouldn't give it to them, so the ideal trade for Chicago fell in their lap when Cousins went down and NO was willing to give up their first with minimal protection.I'm defeated, I think that the Parker trade is all but done. The Bulls were interested in Favors last year for Mirotic, and the deal makes sense for both teams this year.
I really like Favors, he does everything you want him to do but score, unfortunately the Jazz need help scoring. I dont think the Jazz are going to pick up Favors option at the end of the year, so why not rent Parker and see if he fixes some of the offense.
If Parker turns out to be a bad idea like I thought he would, then the Jazz can just not pick up his option.
It's just like, the Jazz really dont have much to lose either way with Favors or Parker. Even if the Jazz click with either player, it would be incredibly difficult to beat the Warriors with Cousins, so why not?

Why wouldn't Chicago want favors?Favors for Jabari doesn't make sense for Chicago. Need a 3rd team.
Favors to Knicks?
Favors to Hawks?
Favors to Spurs?
Favors to Heat?
Favors to Sixers?
Favors to Nets?
Favors to Bucks?
Favors to Hornets?

They’re 8-25. Bringing in someone who doesn’t have long-term potential doesn’t give them anything they want right now.Why wouldn't Chicago want favors?
Do they not like good players in their prime with positional versatility who also happen to be on a contract with options and a player who can probably be re-signed relatively cheap?

Why doesn't favors have long term potential? Isn't favors only like 27 or 28 or something? He ain't 34 or anything. They’re 8-25. Bringing in someone who doesn’t have long-term potential doesn’t give them anything they want right now.
They’re not prioritizing winning now. They need core pieces and can sort out role players later. Why doesn't favors have long term potential? Isn't favors only like 27 or 28 or something? He ain't 34 or anything.

I suppose what I really meant is that they were okay with taking Favors in a deal for Mirotic, but yeah you're right. It was probably more so trying to get a first from utah.I don't think they were all that interested in Favors. Had they been, the trade would have been a done deal. BTW, I'm all for the trade. It's risky due to Jabari's injuries and his defensive liabilities. But another star isn't going to fall in Utah's lap. I don't see the Jazz really having a shot at a 1st or 2nd tier player in free agency. Jabari can score; the Jazz need that. I don't think Lindsey gives up a 1st, which could be problematic; I'm sure contenders looking at Parker are more than willing to give up their pick in the mid or late 20's.

There were several posters who supported acquiring Gallo. And there was only light "flaming" on the subject.I threw out Gallo over the summer (or maybe it was last season) and got flamed for it.
He’d be great here.
I’ve never been on the Gallo train because of contract as well as health issues, plus always viewing him as a 3. But at this point his contract isn’t bad. He’d be a perfect fit on offense and give us good spacing. There were several posters who supported acquiring Gallo. And there was only light "flaming" on the subject.
Yep. Chicago wants to low key tank and give minutes to Carter and Markkanen. They’re not prioritizing winning now. They need core pieces and can sort out role players later.
