Gordon Hayward interview about is nerdy side

LOL - thanks for sharing the link. Aside from what he brings on the court one of the things that stood out to me his rookie year was how 'normal' of a kid he was. His face turned red when he got blocked, and you could tell he was in awe of playing in the NBA. When I went to the Bulls-Jazz game in Chicago, he was looking into the stands during layup lines and any fan who would yell something or give him five (the ones standing courtside) he acknowledged them all.

I'm sure as the years go by in the league he will start to be like every other NBA player who seemingly blocks out all their surroundings when they're playing, but I thought it was pretty refreshing.

That interview sealed the deal that he's just like a lot of people - but 1000000x better at hoops.

I'm no gamer but I have to respect that Gordy isn't afraid to express who he is. I might not agree with the gaming but going against the "norm" is never an easy thing.

--> my favorite quote, as well.
