Problem with Exum is he doesn’t seem to know what to do with the ball. If he doesn’t see a driving lane he pulls the ball out and starts over and over or swings the ball.Watching Exum play, it’s still obvious he’s lost out there half the time. His speed and size is about the only thing that saves him from the bench most nights, whether he produces or not.
Glad to see he played well the last two nights. The only difference I could see is his adding a floater (wow!) and looking more comfortable taking jumpshots. Those are actually pretty significant, but it doesn’t really change that he’s a far cry from running an offense, let alone starting on a team that fancies itself a contender.

Most of our terrible losses are because no one is shooting the ball wellThis ain't workin. I haven't looked but I'm guessing almost all of our many terrible losses this year were in games where Bricky was bad. He might be great down the stretch like last year but even so, what is our end game? And can we get there with a lackluster regular season win %/playoff seeding?
How much is he bringing us down?
He’s supposed to look for his shot, because no one else can, but he’s proven he can play the position on the biggest stage in the playoffs.Mitchell can't play the one at all with his current game. I said this in another thread but the Exum/3shooter/Favs lineup was originally ran with Mitchell in the first couple of games after the Korver acquisition but it never worked because Mitchell tunnel visions in a PnR and just looks for his shot all the time. Exum is making it go because he doesn't necessarily try to force his shot all the time and everyone is involved more.
that explains the 18 assists and only 3 turnovers the past 5 games
Have u noticed he hasn't been standing in the corner? That should tell u something. The coach has had him standing in the corner the whole time except for the last few games and look what happens. U don't have to be a rocket scientist to know that exum has to have the ball in his hands. Blame quin!!! He had Dante standing in the corner. Can someone tell quin don't stand Dante in the corner anymoreNo one roots for Exum more than me, but he’s been doing well the last few games, but before that, he was god awful.

Wtf u can't be serious. U honestly think quin wasn't telling him to stand in the corner. It was so obvious. Be seriousMitchell stands in the corner a lot too, and to say that Quin just tells him to stand in the corner is ridiculous. And I’m pretty sure you don’t know what goes on in practice or what goes on in the game on the jazz bench.

Well to be fair, Korver’s job isn’t to passively space the floor, it’s to get open so he can be real weapon. In so doing, he actively bends the opposing defense. That’s the only way you’re getting a hand in his face.Andy Larson made a huge point last night. He said despite the fact that Korver is 37 years old. He's the one that moves the most without the ball. Which is really frustrating to watch all the young guys just stand in the corner and hope something happens.
I don't disagree, but when Mitchell gets all that attention it often means that there's someone who has a better look than he does but he's unable to recognise that and make the right basketball play at this stage. I've been saying ever since the Korver trade that a lineup of Mitchell/3shooters/Favs or Gobert is probably the best offensive lineup the Jazz can put together, but DM tunnel visions in the PnR too much to really unlock the full potential whereas the Exum/Favs PnR is the best PnR pairing the Jazz have by PPP according to Locke, and Exum being a willing passer even if he's not fantastic at it gets everyone else involved more.Give DM no attention like Exum gets in that lineup and he'll terrorize too.
This is a good point, but Mitchell has shown zero ability to play the PG spot this season. Maybe it's a Quin thing then where instead of telling him to try and find his shot he needs to be encouraging Mitchell to make the right basketball play instead and the shots will come within the offense. He’s supposed to look for his shot, because no one else can, but he’s proven he can play the position on the biggest stage in the playoffs.

Damn. Nice.Any PG under 30 with a career PER > 15, FG% > 43%, 3PT FG% > 36%, and AST/TO ratio > 2. Must have at least two years experience to apply.
