What's new

No QO for Ronnie Brewer

That is kind of odd. Drops them to about 43.5 on the salary cap. That's around 15 mil instead of 11.25 they can offer for free agents.

Maybe not so odd.

....so let's bring back Brewer at a reduced, reasonable rate! He knows our system, fits in well, and we can use him now that Boozer, Korver and Memo are all going to be out or gone!

I wouldn't object to Brewer coming back if the 2/3 spot thins out. He was a decent player in the system, although I'd rather see him come off the bench.

I'd definately give Brewer a contract, especially if we don't bring back Booze. Brewer was better as a SF for us anyways (because he'd be playing there with AK at PF) and we always need a slasher. I'd give him the bi-annual exception.

Wow, then we'd be like the Lakers/Spurs for once, trading a player away and getting him back not long after! We've seen it mostly with the Spurs actually (Brent Barry is the latest one that comes to mind)

"(Hayward) is better than Wes Johnson." - KOC

When did KOC say Hayward was better than Johnson? Do you have link?

I never though Wes was a good prospect, because he is 23 years of age and was playing against 20 year olds and didn't exactly dominate. Hayward at 3 years younger and better prospect. Would be good to see what KOC had to say about him.

Ha. And people think the Jazz got hosed?

Kneel before KOC!

This is unexpected. Looks like both KOC and Memphis GM made a similar move after seeing him play. The difference is we are going to get a pick or lots of cash for this soon in addition to saving a lot of cash last year. Maybe KOC is not as stupid as some people thought.

It makes you wonder if he really is smart, then he goes and drafts Hayward.

I think Brewer will get picked up by someone. He'd fit pretty well in Phoenix, LAL, OKC, and other playoff teams.

KOC can let KK drift off onto the iceburg, bring the Duke point 2 guard to training camp and sign Brew to a minimum salary K and he will be the toast of SLC.
