If anything we should ask Joe to tear up his contract so we can sign him to a 5 year max because the Millers and Jazz fans are stealing from that man... he will decline because he is a benevolent ruler.

We would definitely be a lot closer than we are now. I assume Favors would no longer be here if we were to acquire Holiday and Mirotic so I think one of the first things we would need to add is a good backup center.

Yes we are contenders... in the non-warriors division. If they broke up this offseason I'd think we had a legit shot at a title.

I feel that as constructed now we are the one team that could pull off the impossible against GS. I’m not trying to say we would beat them. Just that if everything went perfect, we could beat them in a series. If we add a Jrue. That’s another ball game. That gives us a 1/10 chance regardless of if everything is going just right or not.

He’s not untouchable but it would be extremely unlikely a team would give someone back that replaces his value to the jazz.

This has not been a good showing for you.
 
If you break it down by matchups, Golden State dominates with their starting lineup and a couple pieces off the bench. Well, look at this breakdown:

Jrue on Steph - I love this matchup. Steph is awesome, but Jrue will lock him down.

Donovan on Klay - when Steph destroys his man, help comes and Klay gets open shots. I like Donovan to stay disciplined and work to make sure Klay doesn't get open looks. Jrue on Steph helps to make it harder for Steph to get free to create the open looks for others.

Ingles on Durant - this is the matchup we just have to concede. Ingles can aggravate KD enough so that maybe KD has an off game or two.

Crowder on Draymond - I'm fine with this matchup. Crowder is a great help defender who can sag some off Draymond and help on KD.

Gobert on Cousins - Boogie will get Gobert out of the lane some, but our perimeter D will be so strong that his rim protecting won't be needed as much. If they post Boogie, Gobert has him.

Bench - O'Neale comes in to simply harass KD and/or Klay. He is an incredible defender. Exum or Rubio come in to help on Klay and Curry. Both can defend well. Korver comes in to tire out whoever is chasing him around. Korver is good enough to guard Klay but that's about it. He'll still play a big role.

The whole series will come down to energy. If we work our tails off, Golden State could tire. They are a thin team. We gotta steal one of the first two games and then anything is possible. Regardless, if we got Jrue, the only team I'm really worried about is Golden State.

Rubio has been a good defender against steph overall during both their careers. It's probably because the t-wolves had drafted Rubio ahead of curry and its probably a pride thing. I'm sure Rubio had been reminded many times that the wolves could have curry instead of him. Well, plus, Rubio is actually a decent defender. He has good size, length, and quickness at his position. NO ONE can stop Stephen curry, but Rubio has had some good defensive games against him

I agree. If we can get Jrue through some combination of Favors, Exum and picks, we would be so incredibly stacked if we could bring someone like Rubio off the bench. Jrue gives us more on both ends of the court, but Rubio would be such a great guy to run the 2nd unit.
 
I know these aren’t the names being tossed around much but just spit balling. Boston may be testing the waters with jaylen brown and terry rozier. A young athletic group of Rozier Mitchell and Brown could be good. Also I know Mitchell and Deangelo Russell are good buddies and Russell is having a breakout year. A backcourt of Russell and Mitchell could become the best in the league. Thoughts?

I love all three but I don't know how we get any of them. We might have a shot at Rozier if we sent our 1st this year, but not even sure that does it.
