Almost every super bowl that the Patriots are in ends up being a classic. Almost every one of them has come down to the wire.
There was the helmet catch, the Seahawks not giving it to beast mode and getting intercepted at the goal line, the comeback against the falcons, last year's Superbowl was amazing.

Seems like there was a run of Superbowls that weren't close before the Brady dynasty.
