2019 Trade Deadline Discussion

Andy Larsens on his pod... current offer is likely Ricky/Thabo/Udoh/Neto and a first... maybe a second.

Neto being included is a good get for Grizz cheap rotation guy with an option for next year... that's good enough... not going higher than that. I'm fine with them turning it down honestly.
Yuck

We clearly like Exum... per Larsens... so does Memphis.

IDK... I might be willing to sub in Exum in the deal. He plays good for 10 games and excites me... then gets hurt or struggles for 15-20 games. I'm not sure he's even worth his contract. We might carve out flexibility if we put Exum in the trade to get something at the 4.

They're obviously including Neto in order to encourage Memphis to cut Mack. Then we sign Mack. Brilliant negotiating by DL.

Oh no then i don't want Conley.

Conley
Mitchell
Gobert

That will get you to the 2nd round playoffs AT BEST.

I'd much rather have:

Mitchell
Tobias
Gobert

That team is much more balanced and all and young and has much more potential

#SayNoToConley

What would you say the odds are of signing Harris in the offseason though? That's the thing. What, maaaayyybbbeee 10%?

I didn’t realize that getting Harris would not be possible by adding Conley. This proposed trade gets a hard no from me. Conley is not the answer. He’s too old. Undersized. Doesn’t fit our timeline. Way overpaid. I know we’re all desperate for a move, but let’s not blow this chance on Conley.

From the very beginning of this Conley nonsense, I said one thing: if we add Conley, we also have to add help at PF. If we did this hypothetical Rubio, spare parts and a 1st for Conley, I don't want to stop there. If we are going all in, we need to really go all in. The offense really isn't going to run that great if Favors is still sitting on the perimeter.

I feel like if we get Conley then we need Exum off of our bench. Replacing Rubio with Conley makes Exum's size, versatility and defensive ability very valuable to us. Especially come playoff time against teams like GS/Houston

If the Conley trade went through and then we traded some sort of package including Favors/Exum to Cleveland for Kevin Love, how would you guys feel?

I thought that it was still possible for us to add a max or near max contract after adding Conley? Pretty sure someone went through the cap math yesterday?

Like our team would kick 2012's ***. I don't want Love... one of the 5 worst contracts in the league.

Just trust me on this... the answer is no.

If you don't get Zion or Tatum, you get even less quarters.

Lol, if the Lakers significantly tank that offer you tell them to pound sand and ship him off elsewhere for a similar price, plenty of teams in the league can match a lessened Lakers offer.

Then you watch laughing as LA fans eat Magic/Pelinka/LeBron alive as they miss the playoffs for a 7th straight season.

That trade doesnt even work, at least not in the NBA trade machine.

Plus Memphis would have to send players back, or buy everyone out we sent them.

Guessing a 3rd team would have to come in that takes Favors and gives us something, or something like that.
