ESPN Insider: Blazers eye Matthews (why?)

Embarassing how? Jazz could have to pay more again to keep Matthews, a player the FO and fans really like just to keep everyone happy, and look who it is trying to screw with us again...none other then our great friends up North (Blazers).

I think they do it just to see how many threads will be started on the topic.
I'm glad I didn't have a mouthful of hydration when I read your witty retort. Otherwise I'd have milk coming out my nose right now.

+100 internets for you, sir.

Wouldn't it be ironic if Portland offered him 4-5 milliion so instead we signed Ronnie Brewer who is now an unrestricted free agent? Admittedly his horrible shooting makes one gag, but if we got him back plus the mid first round draft pick that would look pretty good.

KOC would declare himself a genius.

Matthews is such a unique talent and does things that are hard to find in the league. The Jazz must match any offer sheet, regardless of how bad it is. Then, in December they can trade Kirilenko and Honzward to one of the cap room teams that struck out for a future preseason game.

How would it look if they trade their Hanzo Sword middle of the season after drafting him 9th overall? Let Wes go if the offer is ridiculous.

Honestly, Matthews is not a unique talent. We can find other SG's like him in the league, he is unique because he was undrafted and turned out to be really good. That being said, Anthony Morrow is better, get him.

If we want to look at this rationally, we need to think about what Hayward could get us in return. Assuming he plays just below an all star level for the first half of the season, I'd guess that we could do something like a Hayward and AK for an expiring and Cousins/Favors/Whiteside.

Sure it would be a shame to let go of a possible future HOFer, but we have wings that can fill in and getting a defensive big like Whiteside would be worth it.

I wish you were the GM because you have the right ideas.

Hayward filed a restraining order against you.
It was actually Kolbi. Kind of like the scene in Brokeback when the wife looks out the back door and sees her husband kissing another man. Kolbi just feels threatened by honz. And why not? She just graduated HS and if she plays her cards right, she'll share in his $10M contract. If I were in her position, I'd change my name from Killingback to Mattressback.

Guys, I've never met Gordon or been within 300 miles of him. I'm not really sure what you guys are rambling on about. I like the way that handsome young man plays the game of basketball. That's it.
