Nice Stockton compilation video

Saw it yesterday. Not bad.

There's a clip I used to have that I can no longer find where the Jazz grab the defensive rebound, the outlet pass is dumped off to Stock and without even looking he turns around and chucks it down court to a streaking Malone. If you watch Stock through the entire sequence not once does he look down court to see where Malone is. He just turns and throws it right on the money.

Thing of beauty.

This, aka the greatest Jazz play I have seen in person, perhaps?

After "The Shot" I think that Game 4 finish was the 2nd-most dramatic moment ever in Jazz history. It was so loud at the buzzer that even the announcers were drowned out.

As far as I'm concerned Stockton is the best pure point in the game. I loved how he imposed his will on a game and opposing teams, it was sick how he took over games. All time leader in assists, all time leader in steals, that's called imposing your will on the NBA!

I remember this play in the finals but it is not the one I am talking about. It was even more impressive. I've been scouring Youtube trying to find it but it is apparently not there.

It might have been a spectacular play, but no way was it more impressive. That play, considering the time he did it and the situation of the game, was the greatest Jazz play I have seen in person. To have the balls to make that pass and to get it over both Jordan and Kukoc was just amazing.

I think I know the play you're talking about and I'm pretty sure I have a copy of it. I'll try and upload it tonight.

That was one of my favorite things about those Utah teams, they would pack it in the paint, but then Malone (and Russell also) would race out, challenge the shot and then immediately release down the court and in one motion Stock would get the ball and throw the homerun pass.

The one thing Malone (and Russell did) was they would race out to challenge

Those were the days, basketball in it's purist form. Does anyone think we will see anything like this again in Utah?

Stockton was so awesome. .515 career FG %, over 38% 3-pt. %, toughest PG ever, IMO. Stockton's the best pure PG ever - he should be at one or two on every 'Best PG List' ever (I am open to the Magic Johnson argument).

Not sure the precise game that came from, but this first one against Seattle seems pretty similar. (Threw a few extra StocktontoMalone's in there too).

really really miss this.

When we could go into LA and slap them around (instead of constantly being blown out like we are today.).
When we didn't constantly lose to dump teams like Minny on the road.
When the Delta Center was actually feared.
When we had a PF that was durable and actually gave a damn.
A very capable PG that could distribute the ball and not throw teammates or coaches under the bus (or moan on the floor whining for calls while his man scores).
