We would be taking back roughly double the salary that would be going out. There would have to be more to this that what is mentioned in the article. Carter already makes more than the maximun that could be offered to Boozer and then they add even more players.
Let's just be pleased that there are multiple rumors about Boozer to Orlando. There is definitely a good scenario here, somewhere.
Word to the part about your avatar sucking. Portland sucks too.
Carter's contract isn't horrible length-wise, but he makes way too much. He's at $17.3M next year with a team option at $18M the year after. So he's actually a potential expiring contract.
But the trade as posted above doesn't come close to working. The Jazz would have to send $22M+ to take back $27.6M on those three players. Boozer can only make ~$17M or so, so who else would the Jazz send to make this deal work?

Cuz who wanted Michael Jordan anyway?
Sam Bowie was the consensus for that pick by the NBA. You act like I care honestly? The Jazz are my favorite team.
Im just saying you need to stop getting butthurt giving our fans a bad name.
Agreed. I think he would really step his game up if we gave him a nice new contract as incentive to play hard for us.

How's that pick working out?
This is the worst possible trade for us.
Actually, the consensus pick was Hakeem Olajuwon who was chosen ahead of both Bowie and MJ.Sam Bowie was the consensus for that pick by the NBA. You act like I care honestly? The Jazz are my favorite team.

You have a Blazers logo on a Jazz fan site. Of course people are going to criticize you.
They should envy it, I mean atleast the Blazers won a ring. Our Jazz could try and do that too instead of settling for being average.
