Following Potential Draftees - 2019 (not kidding)

The Admiral and his agent are smart enough to know the right things to say....

Admiral Schofield: "I want to be a junkyard dog, be able to guard multiple positions, and knock down open shots. … My mindset is, if I come in, I want to affect winning. It’s not about positions, it’s not about playing time, it’s just about coming in and affecting winning."

Apparently Schoefield didn't shoot very well today....Jazz's Walt Perrin, on Admiral Schofield: "His body will translate to the NBA, his strength. He is a better shooter than what he showed today — he struggled a little bit. Those things could translate right away to the NBA. His smartness, his ability to know how to play."

Sounds like a Jazzman. Sign him up.

"Being in Australia, they did not expect him to do hardly anything" Walt Perrin on Brian Bowen

What? is Walt trying to rein in the Aussie's love for the Jazz?

Perrin came himself when talking about Weatherspoon. He was probably relieved he didnt get asked too many questions about him.

I watched some video on him... I like him... you think he goes in the first... the mocks I have access to don't have him in that range.

Its similar situation in some ways to when Terrence Furgeson was in Australia.

RJ Hampton is gonna be playing in New Zealand next year, I cant for the life of me imagine he isnt gonna end up a starter, he's gotta be easily the best guard on whatever roster they'll put him on, despite being fresh outa HS. He is like Dante Exum but 25x better.

Brian Bowen's father deserves a large amount of the blame for the whole mess he got into. That actually doesnt get said nearly enough when his name is discussed.

His dad was basically holding an open auction for his services, he was the last 5-star player uncommitted, they were waiting to drive up the bid til the final hour...

RJ Hampton would go 2nd or 3rd in this draft, if he was the only 2001 born player allowed eligibility. It's absurd that he isn't able to get drafted at 18 years old if his stock would be that high. The rules can't change fast enough.

It's funny how he strung many bigname college fanbases along into thinking they were getting him. He probably knew he was gonna go pro long ago. This is the game thats offerted these days tho if ur too good, its bogus.

I can’t imagine we don’t sign a solid pg this off-season. We don’t have one pure pg on the roster and given Exum’s injury history and how Mitchell played better at the 2, I’d be shocked if we didn’t sign a Satoransky or someone at least if nothing else. Especially since we have Crowder and Favors at the 4.

Below are the top 15 players on ESPN's Top 100 Big Board who have worked out for the Jazz so far. Considering our pick is #23, it seems that several more first-round talents should be coming in. Otherwise, I'm starting to wonder if we're preparing to trade back.

(23) Mfiondu Kabengele
(24) KZ Okpala
(25) Ty Jerome
(30) Nic Claxton
(31) Grant Williams
(34) Carsen Edwards
(36) Admiral Schofield
(37) Dylan Windler
(45) Zylen Cheatham
(47) Shamorie Ponds
(50) Nazreon Reid
(51) Louis King
(52) Quindary Weatherspoon
(55) Jaylen Hoard
(56) Justin Robinson

I think I would take Grant over Admiral. But I think Admiral is clearly a SF. I had my doubts that he could play that position before the combine. But he convinced me he has the necessary athleticism.
