Following Potential Draftees - 2019 (not kidding)

I tracked his story for some time. Always used to try and compare him to Doug McBuckets, and I think ultimately, no-brainer; he's worse.

Gimme Windler over Iggy 100/100x. I think Windler is much better.

Yeah, Windler is more of a triple-threat--better shooter, better passer and better handle.

I still feel like Luguentz Dort is being undervalued in this draft. I've been watching more of Arizona State and man he has a great first step on drives. He blows by defenders with it. He's got good enough size especially with his physicality. Explosive leaper. He gets to the line. He's creative with ball off the dribble. This guy could be the offensive spark the Jazz need.

dont get ur hopes up. He is redundant here, because of Donovan Mitchell.. I'd be floored if he's the pick...

Shams Charania retweeted this for some reason. I know they're both with The Athletic, so maybe I'm reading too much into it lol

I love him, but he kind of sucks as of now.

He's not really an explosive leaper. He's a terrible finisher and a very bad shooter. He's athletic and has a gigantic body for his size.

I'd be very happy with him at 23, but I'd be very surprised if he played much at all (like less than Allen played this year)

What's their to read into?

I love Davis as well.

Tony's tweeted about workouts a lot in the past, and Shams is a big national writer and I don't recall him retweeting things like this. Probably nothing. Is Davis a trade down candidate or is he a fast riser into our draft range? Haven't really heard much about him.

Not a fast riser. He is one of the better seniors in this draft class. EXCELLENT Defender, especially in transition, monster at getting chasedown blocks for a 6'4 guy. Stranger things have happened but his upside at the NBA level seems to be at best a backup guy.

We need someone other than Donovan who can create offense. It's not redundancy.
We're talking about Lu Dort with the 1st rd pick? He is gonna fall to the 2nd rd man... He's like 20 right? if he was 18½ it'd be a different story.

If they were to pass on Nic Claxton for Lu Dort it would be a grave mistake, they need to take the player with the most 'star potential' even if that ultimately just means 'being a star in his role'.

I dont think trade down candidates exist in the 20's. A guy in the 20's could go in the 30's and vice versa. He's been rising though.

Instead of drafting Dort, draft Horton-Tucker and tell him to get in shape.

There are so many of these guys I would rather have than using all our cap space and this pick and more for two years and $70 million of Mike Conley.

It's ALMOST like the brilliant Jazz FO backed themselves into a corner, and now operate from a position of weakness..

Y'all think Mike Conley was watching that Houston Series at the edge of his seat, just bursting with excitement to sign with Utah?

Lemme ask u, if you were in a position like Conley, getting smacked around for years on poorly constructed rosters, would you really be looking at the Jazz as some Panacea?????? C'mon son, if he signs here its cuz of the $$$$.

Instead of letting the assets develop on a proper timeframe, they've altered the timeline, for the worse, and now will try to find a short-cut, to make up for their previous failures at finding short-cuts...... #Foolshit

Prediction; Once PHX has overtaken Utah, thats when everyones gonna get fired here. Utah is gonna get leap-frogged in the west sooner than y'all realize, there's no chance they can compete with the offseasons of some of these other squads, many of whome have been tanking and stocking the warchest for years, **** PHX did it for pretty much the entire decade..

never liked claxton much when i watched georgia, but he's a high IQ guy, measured great, can do some things on the perimeter on both ends and you have to love the 7 blocks in that combine game. seems to have the potential to be that modern big who can protect the rim and go to the other end and space the floor. just one more name to the long list of guys i'd be fine with the Jazz grabbing in this draft.
