Yeah, I would place the odds on him going to LA
Me too.

Yeah, it would be pretty ideal. Jazz could keep Favors as well and still have 13 million in space. Or waive him and have 28 million.
I think I rounded up when I said 13 and down when I said 28. Like by a half million on each.30M?
Isn’t he due to make 16.9M?
Not completely. I think they could pull off trades.
For instance, they could trade Dinwiddie for Korver and our 1st rounder. Then waive stretch Korver, then use a first round pick to trade a player into another teams cap space.
Even with just the Korver/Dinwidde trade it gets them to 28 million, so they would just have to give away Joe Harris to some team.
I said it hurt the Jazz? How does that hurt the Jazz? Hell, turning our first and Korver into Dinwiddie would be the greatest thing to happen this offseason. We could even keep Favors with two guards that can actually shoot.
So the Nets then. Do we really think he is going to go back and play with Lebron? Kyrie going to the Nets is a pretty good domino to fall.

I could see that, but I'd much rather just have Harris.Sorry I thought that people were discussing how Kyrie going to Brooklyn is pretty positive for the Jazz because it rules out them signing Harris. Then you said that they could still take Harris by working a wonderful trade with the Jazz. I guess you made that as a consolation, but I would rather have THAT deal than actually signing Harris.

Plus the whole dinwiddie and d-lo conundrumKyrie going to the Nets would be great for the Jazz. Not only would it keep the Lakers from getting better, it would also prevent Brooklyn from pursuing Tobias.

God, fine! Y'all talked me into it. Trade Korver and our first for Dinwiddie. Then release Favors and sign Tobias Harris.
Gobert
Harris
Ingles
Mitchell
Dinwiddie.
Starting 5
Crowder, O’Neale, Exum are the main bench.
I'd want to see Donovan really hit all star status before I'd call that team a contender, but they'd be fun as hell to watch and definitely competitive. That is a contender right there, and outside of Ingles (who would be the weakest link as a starter) pretty darn young.

I assume there actually isn't any truth to this tweet. However, let's say Blake Griffin were actually on the trade block because Detroit wants to clear space and start over. Do we think there's any viable offer the Jazz could make that would be appealing? One aspect I think is that the Jazz could have cap space to absorb Griffin's contract without really having to send any salary back.
The deal would likely include the Jazz just taking on salary, sending our 2019, maybe 2020 1st rounders, and maybe Grayson Allen or Dante Exum.
