News, rumors and buzz around the draft and free agency

LeBron did the TV special to raise money for the Boy's and Girl's Club. He raised $3 million. https://www.espn.com/nba/truehoop/miamiheat/news/story?id=6175574

"I would do it again," James said. "I won't play this game forever. But the things that we're doing in the communities, things that we're doing in the gymnasiums, in the computer labs, they will last. When I'm done playing basketball, I can still go back to some of those same parks and see what we were able to accomplish that day in 2011. That's important to me."
What a dick right?

Let's go! Get Bojan and let Favors get into free agency early. IF we get Bojan, would you rather use room MLE on a wing like Temple or a backup C like Ed Davis?

We would desperately need a reliable 4 who can also play some 5. Then focus on switchable 3 and D wings.

Damn. Brogdon was my dude

This is who I wanted before the Conley trade, Conley is the better player but age and price made Brogdon my top FA choice this off season but I also didn't think there was a chance Utah could land him.

Also Fish you keep talking trash and Favs we gonna have some words, just got one question. Does Your Mother Sew?

Lebron could have just donated the money. Lebron did the special because of Lebron. He wanted the world tuned in to HIM.

Eh. It was a way to do both. For all those complaining about The Decision, it wasn't all self serving. Doing a 30 minute special that raises $3 million for charity is a special thing regardless.

I'm glad KD isn't doing the same thing because I don't want to see the negative media backlash that happens no matter how it's done.

I don't talk trash in favors. Just favors role with the jazz vs his production and $
It's all about the context

Remember when the Knicks cleared all the salary and traded Portz so they could have 2 max slots for KD and Kyrie. Hahahah they're going to max out Enes and Hood now. (Maybe not Enes)

Here's a wild one - if we manage to keep our full MLE through a SnT... and get Bogdanovic... we should probably try getting Portis too with the MLE as our 4-5 backup big.

We can stagger Ingles-Bojan a ton with Portis taking the bulk of the 4 minutes but not starting...

This way we would both have a "hit you in the mouth" starting lineup and at the same time not overplay it before the playoffs.

In essence it will be the same arrangement we had last year with Favors-GObert but we will have it with Ingles-Bojan. The difference is... it will be our best lineup rather than one to avoid playing... we would just avoid playing it by choice because we will be good enough to get to the playoffs without overplaying it and because we will be keeping our wings healthy and not banged up by playing Portis a ton at backup 4 and 5.

KD to Brooklyn to play with Kyrie will end up being one of the dumbest decisions ever. KD to Brooklyn? Sure. Go for it. KD with Kyrie? Dumb.

Brooklyn is doing the same thing as a few years ago just without the picks.
