The Favors Trade Exemption

Yesterday’s 3-D chess by the Jazz FO has pushed my meager (and declining) knowledge of the CBA and the jazz’s current salary position beyond its humble limits.

We’re getting a trade exemption, right?

Since trade exemptions can’t be combined with other assets, it’s too small to use to complete the Conley trade, right?

Can the jazz use this exemption to acquire another player? We don’t have the full MLE, right, but isn’t this even better?

Thanks for the education, bros. I don’t have time to stay on top of this **** anymore.

I think for the Jazz to end up with a trade exception there would have to be a 30 team league wide trade that encompassed all of free agency. So yeah, there's a chance.

Jazz have to renounce exceptions to use their FA dollars on Conley and Bojan.
