Third point

If Napier gets released I’d pick him up. Same with Yogi Ferrell.

Other names:
Ryan Arcidiacano (sp?)
Tj McConnell
Shelvin Mack (sorry I had to)
Alex Caruso obviously is the best candidate but I don’t want to threaten Conley with his presence.

I like McConnell as a backup. I also wouldn't mind Mack back. The hate that guy got on this board is insane.

Arcidiacono can shoot and doesn't turn the ball over and he's not bad on defense. When I saw him play I had no clue who he was but he was impressive.

I can't believe Caruso hasn't been signed yet (Lakers gave a QO). Having Caruso would be a dream come true (and all the funny JazzAvenues quotes from other teams making funny of Caruso and Ingles would be a bonus).

Caruso, Ingles, Bojan, Niang and Koufus (once we sign him as the third center)

I remember saying I thought Niang looked like a Cosmo Kramer/Drake love child. Bojan looks like the guy who sits alone at the bar and glares at anyone who's laughing or having a good time.

Caruso and Ingles are next-level. And you're right to add Kosta as if the Jazz signed him and Caruso they could totally be The Mange Brothers.

I don’t understand it either. I’d think that Caruso would be high on our list. He fits our strategy of bang for your buck. He’s far better than Exum and will easily take Over his role regardless of whether Exum has injured himself by thanksgiving or not.

Plus, poaching him from the Lakers helps to limit the role players they need.

All we can offer at this moment is a minimum deal.

Has Neto been picked up off of waivers yet? does the 48 hours count during the offseason, or does the clock not start ticking until contracts can be signed?

Caruso isn't coming here on a minimum. Lakers will match that all day long, mainly because they need bodies.

Donovan Mitchell is the backup point I hope. Conley or Mitchell should be running point for at least 40 minutes a game. Ingles can run the offense the other 8 minutes with Exum defending the opposing PG.

Exum won’t be playing because he’ll be injured.

Another reason to really look at another option besides Neto. Neto can’t play more than 2 games in a row before breaking too. I don’t understand how paying someone who can’t stay healthy to fill a roster spot benefits us.

I agree with this. I see the Jazz using Exum more as a defensive stopper in the 2nd unit, backed by Davis, while Mitchell, Conley, and Ingles run maestro duties. This won't preclude Exum from pulling PG duties, but until he proves reliable and healthy, we need a 3rd PG for emergency purposes and when Conley, Mitchell, or Ingles get load managed.

What about Brad Wanamaker? Only seen him play a couple times. Did well in Europe and his numbers looked solid this season... just couldn't get any run. I'd throw him a minimum.

Pangos has one year left on his deal overseas at about 1.75M. I wonder if he’d come over or what the buyout would be.

When Exum is injured, you stagger Mitchell and Conley's minutes even more so one id in the court

Didn't IT just sign for the vet minimum? And then there's always Jimmer. Third-string pg who could bring up the ball, pass off to Ingles and stand in the corner to shoot -- -- just saying there are options.

Jimmer does not dribble or pass... he needs to make sure his passport is up to date.

Nando De Colo. 6'5" who plays either guard position. With Gobert's buddy Neto gone, maybe bring in his countryman? I think Raptors have his RFA rights, but doubt they will match.
