Paul George and Kawhi to the Clippers

Did them dirty?

Bruh, the Lakes didnt have to pursue Kawhi. He doesnt owe them anything.
Yeah, like Celtics fans said that Hayward didn't owe us anything. We pay and he plays. Should have given up and pursued other FAs in the beginning. At least Hayward never told us not to make other moves or even delay the existing trades that we've made just to wait on him

They pursued Kawaii. He was never theirs to lose. They could have made the choice that they were going to build a good team without him, like we did in trading for Conley instead of waiting on Harris or DLo. They chose to pirate someone else's free agent while some sure things slid off the board. Screw them, they got what they deserved.
Easier said than done. Pursuing any UFA comes with risks. We "pursued" Hayward and it was never a guarantee that he resigned with us. We "techinically" had a choice. But as a jazz fans would you even consider telling the Jazz FO to not try resigning Hayward in 2017? Just look at what Knicks and Hornets did this summer and what their fans think of it. There isn't really a choice for us in 2017, or for the Lakers this summer. Either play or get played. But you have to play.

So Toronto turned down a trade offer for PG13 & Westbrook because of Westbrook's contract and also having to give up Siakam?

Id say that pretty dumb. I get not wanting Westbrook, but you also lose Kawhi too.

I wonder what picks OKC was asking for as well.

Does it matter which picks you give up? You gain Paul George and keep Kawhi Leonard and the cost is taking Russell Westbrook? I’d have done it if I was them.

I'm still confused as to how this would've worked. George and Westbrook alone(assuming no other players leaving OKC) are 70 million in salary. The Raptors don't have close to enough salary to send back.

Marc Gasol, Serge Ibaka and Pascal Siakam would have been able to do it or atleast be extremely close.

If he’s healthy he’s a really good player, on the court. Off the court he’s a dick
On the court he's a negative for teams he's been on. He's a really good player that doen't play team basketball. Basically Carmello Anthony's problem as well. You can't build a competitive team around them and without the ball in their hands they add nothing to help the team. Cousins does not make the Lakers a better team.

Lakers’ stars are top-5 talent, but they get zero rest. Their depth is looking like the Island of Misfit Toys.

When the playoffs start, I think Thompson will be back for GS. The Warriors will still have depth and chemistry on their side. But Curry and Green are going to carry heavy loads this year, so health might still be an issue in April/May/June.

Clippers stars are younger, but health is still a question mark. Especially for KL; win or lose, his leg tendons are a bit injury prone.

The Clippers have wing depth, so they will get the rest they need. But their stars will still be working very hard on both ends of the floor in the playoffs.

Compared to his situation in Toronto, Leonard will miss having big men behind him to bolster/embolden his perimeter D. The Jazz’ D will still be just as good as LA’s, and perhaps better if our shots go down.

It seems like it’s Houston’s turn to make a move, so we’ll see what it is. But for now, I see them as a 4th or 5th seed because Paul’s drop off leaves them with only one legit star.

If healthy, I think the Jazz beat any of these teams in 7 games.

They have three pg’s that would start on a lot of teams. Schroder, Westbrook and SGA, who was just traded to OKC.
What is SGA's name? I have yet to see anyone post this guys full name
