Bluster and bullshite. And Republicunts(at least the ones who like Trump) have a huge appetite for ******** these days. Unfortunately everyone else has to eat from their plate. Why can't anyone from the R party redirect the party compass? I respect Mitt for giving it a shot but few from his party put sanity before party these days.

I had assumed the "you" that I used was a rather obvious example of the collective you, as it clearly wasn't directly toward you. I apologize if that was misunderstood. When I said "everyone", it was hyperbole meant to make a point, again, I thought rather obvious, but perhaps not.

I think the problem with making general references or categorizing people is that you are attacking people who don't deserve it. Not only that, but it's a mechanism used by autocratic governments to divide people instead of allowing for constructive criticism that often leads to a deeper understanding for both sides.

Iran also says that it won’t start a war but it will fight in self defense.

Regardless on whether Iran is telling the truth or not, I think America will find its own credibility lacking among key allies due to the past 3 years of lies and insults thus making regime change in Iran next to impossible. Any aggression in their part will look like self defense and no one will trust what we say due to our own lack of credibility. So what to do?

In all honesty, I give Iran the upper hand here. Trump’s idiotic foreign policy has made us look dishonest, corrupt, and petty all the while making Iran look like a victim. Amazing! Iran! The victim!

Don’t you think? At this point world opinion probably sides with Iran through all this. We were the ones who pulled out of the nuclear deal for stupid petty reasons. We’re the ones who insulted our own allies. So why should anyone help us with regime change?

Well those are the weapon systems I worked on. Neither one has been used in anything other than testing and training to shoot down drones and/or missiles. CIWS has killed a few people by accident.

Phalanx CIWS (close-in weapon system) -- is a 20mm, 6 barrel gatling gun that fires approx 84 rounds/second. It has an onboard and completely independant search and track radar system as well as a FLIR camera for manual operator control. It can engage targets up to 2 miles. As it fires at a target it tracks its outbound rounds and adjusts its aim as it fires.

RAM (Rolling Airframe Missile) -- This is a missile launcher that holds 21 missiles that are loaded via canisters. The missile it fires is based on the sidewinder missile body (it spins on its axis during flight) and the stinger missile seeker head. It can engage targets up to 4 miles. This missile can either be set at the time of launch to seek one of a specific set of radio frequencies (that are typically used by guided anti-ship missiles) or it can be set to what's called IR all the way. Regardless of which mode is used at launch, during the terminal phase it switches to IR seeking (heat seeking) to guide itself to make skin-to-skin contact with its target. Skin-to-skin contact is not required but is more effective. It has a proximity sensor to trigger detonation of its payload if direct contact isn't made.

If either system was used it will be the first time the Navy's modern shipboard defensive weapons were used in a hostile situation.

I've been in IT for 18 years now. I was a windows 95 certified professional at 17, and installed a motherboard into a cardboard ramen box.

Not even I find that cool.

Talk about needing to redirect the party compass...open borders, free everything for votes, all those democrats that voice support for AOC's green deal, but don't have the guts to go on record with a vote on it. Not to forget government jobs for everyone and guaranteed salary for those that don't wish to work. I think the needle on the compass is pointing down for the democrats. Don't you socialist wish you had just let me lurk on here? I thought you wanted open discussions, but all you do is put people down. Oh, by the way if you are going to use teenage things like calling me bird s**t may I suggested telling me I am lower than whale s**t on the bottom of the ocean floor, that was big when I was a teenager.
