2011-12 Jazz Schedule

This is probably a waste of time since we probably won't get to enjoy this schedule, but:
-2 TNT/3 ESPN games
-19 back-to-backs [fixed]
-Boozer returns Nov 21st (Monday night)
-Deron returns Jan 14th (Saturday night)
-4 conference games that rotated off:
at LAL, at Dal, Sac, NOH

Jazz actually get to play at Staples and Big D 1-less time this season - probably a sign this schedule will never be played out.

Only 16 back-to-backs? Seems like we always end up with 20+ every year. And like you said this schedule probably won't be played out unfortunately.

Oops I miscounted - actually there's 19 back-to-backs - which is more than we had last season and the same number we had in 2009-10.

I don't know if anyone cares but I like to look to see who has the most national games and to me there are some surprises. My feelings are that the better your team is the more national exposure you should get. Of course the Jazz have 5 national games and NOH only has 2. Here are last years playoff teams:

West
San Antonio: 14
LA Lakers: 25
Dallas: 23
OKC: 19
Denver: 14
Portland: 14
NOH: 2
Memphis: 5

East
Chicago: N/A
Miami: 25
Boston: 24
Orlando: 14
Atlanta: 8
NY Knicks: 22
Philly: 5
Indiana: 1

Other interesting national exposure teams (or lack thereof):
GSW: 10
LA Clippers: N/A
Houston: 1
Kings: 1
Phoenix: 10

You can see how Utah stacks up against most teams.

I can't believe the Hornets only get 2 games while having a top 10 player, and being owned by the NBA.

I'm guessing they are all TNT games so we can hear JVG talk about Marc Jackson.

I agree with you. Maybe the NBA knows something about the very near future of the franchise. That is a joke.

I am surprised that the Jazz have so much respect that even when they are rebuilding that they have a decent amount of national games.

LA Clippers: N/A

What the hell? This is the dumbest thing I've ever seen. I guess they figure no one wants to watch Blake Griffin play. He's only quite possibly the most exciting player in the NBA right now, that's all.

Yuck on the TV schedule. Why do I want to watch washed up Boston or Lakers while DeMarcus Cousins, Tyreke Evans and Jimmer are only one once?

Do you think the NBA knows something about Pauls future if they only put NOH on the TV twice?

Going through I got a record of 47-35 based off games we should win.

You never win as many games as you should though so I think a record of 43-39

Miami 25 times and NY 22 times.

Gross.

So we get to watch the "Big 3" go one on one. Then we get to watch Amare try and rebound Melo's misses.

sigh....

No wonder why youngsters don't know how to play this game anymore.

The reason that there was a N/A next to the Clippers is becuase their website wouldn't let you see the schedule instead it redirected you to the web page to order season ticket. The schedule is up now and they Clippers play 13 times on national TV.
