El Paso Shooting

I'm comparing Trump to Hitler of 1936, three years into his reign. The writing was on the wall in 1936 but no-one could have predicted the slaughter of innocents. Trump already has children in cages and being ripped away from their parents. He also already intoned expanding Presidential term limits and warned of civil uprising should he lose the election. Trump is a dictator, Hitler was a dictator. He mused about killing millions in Afghanistan. We don't know yet where this ends. Maybe it ends in nuclear annihilation, who knows?

Fair enough.

Once a president shows his disregard for life, law, and decency, as trump has done, anything is possible. We don’t know how bad this is going to get but we know we’re headed down a dark road of fascism. It never ends well.

Not to shift gears too much, but this is what one of my favorite authors had to say:

The White House and the Republicans only recognize as true dangers those events or moments that threaten their party's hold on power, or which might discomfit the president and drive him to his phone in a desperate attempt to relieve his sense of narcissistic injury by firing someone. Warnings from the U.S. intelligence community about foreign attacks, or the sight of a Walmart soaked in blood, are merely public relations problems. A stray comment from one of the Fox and Friends morning lightweights, however, is a crisis that requires immediate executive action — or tweets.

Democrats are today's realists
To a foreign observer, American policy might not seem to have changed all that much over the years of alternating rule by Democrats and Republicans. All of them continued to agree on the basics of capitalism and constitutional order, whatever their other disagreements. But Republicans always staked out the hardest ground on national security, a principled position rooted in the natural conservative pessimism about the dangers of an anarchic world.

Lol yeah I'm not going to respond to such uneducated ignorance anymore. Putting you on ignore for a bit. Come find me when these people are putting people in gas chambers, experimenting, raping, and starving people. I'll gladly join your side in the fight if that happend. Thankfully we have the 2nd to protect ourselves against that very thing.

Actually, The second amendment is used to kill yourselves off. You’re far more likely to have someone in your household shot when you own a gun than those who don’t own one. And the #1 method of suicide by white males is by gun. Is it really keeping you safe?

Facts matter

Stoked, Hitler was in power for 12 years. Kristallnacht didn't happen until 5 years into his reign. We haven't seen it all from Trump, but we've seen enough to know he is the same as every other strongman in history.

You mean he didn’t just appear and have a massive army? No ****.

This isn’t 1930s Germany, trump isn’t hitler and Jazzyfresh isn’t a Nazi.

If Trump is Hitler, yes.

How so? Can one support(defend) Trump yet disassociate one's self from his racism, etc? .

A. Yes
B. I don't think jazzy is a trump supporter. He has said many times he wants Warren to be the next president.

Jazzy defends Trump regularly. Let's just skip the formalities, you defend Trump, you're part of HIS party.
You confuse my calling out the hypocrisy on the left as supporting Trump. I think both parties are **** and neither party spreads a message of unity. Show me one candidate that emphases unity during these tough times and I will support that. Trump isn't doing it and neither is any candidate on the left. Both are pushing divisive ********. Including the guy who called me a Nazi.

Yeah and he also makes hateful generalizations but not as bad as you just did. Calling someone you don't know a Nazi. You are no different with that hateful diatribe.

I agree there is no reason to call Trump nor you a Nazi. It only detracts from the conversation. Lots of near-fascists are not Nazis, and Trump is definitely near-fascist.

Pushing back against Trump and his supporters in Congress, the press or as individuals is not a strike against unity.

Within a few months of taking office, Hitler had banned all opposition political party and trade unions, passed the Enabling Act, formed the Gestapo, and had an official book burning. Trump's not Hitler, and Trump's not going to be Hitler. He's evil enough just being Trump.

How so? Can one support(defend) Trump yet disassociate one's self from his racism, etc? The parallels to Nazi Germany and Hitler are here to see. Way too few Germans stood up against Hitler's insanity.

AM: **** Trump. He's a racist, lying, POS.
Sra8line: You're a nazi.

Don't claim 8 million jews are turning over in their graves by my "washing down" the term Nazi and I won't call you one.

Trump IS a Nazi. The times are different but make no mistake, he's a modern-day Hitler. Just because we have protections in place to hinder his goals doesn't mean he isn't a Nazi. He muses about killing millions, doesn't he?

Is he racist? Yes. But man, he just isn't a Nazi. If you need a pejorative to label Trump that's based in reality fascist is good enough.

Fascist, Nazi, Strongman, Authoritarian. All the same. He has kids being taken away from their families(and dying) and is making veiled threats of killing millions. You can't tell me he wouldn't be way worse without our checks and balances. He has no regard for human life, yesterday pointed that out.

How about his quip about shooting someone on 5th Avenue?

"I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and wouldn't lose any voters, ok?" Trump said, mimicking firing a gun with his fingers. "It's incredible".

Um, you were calling Jazzyfresh a Nazi and then me.

You're an idiot slinging around words you don't understand.
