2019 Annual Jazzfanz Legends NBA Draft

For what it’s worth. . . I’m interested in trading up - I’d be offering my next two picks (32 & 33) for an OTC pick and a 6th round pick back.

PM me an offer if interested.

No, Russell’s super team beat the one man show that was Wilt. Russell simply was on a team with 10 times the better team

No!! He played against smaller, slower weaker players.
Yes, they were a great team. But they literally won their first championship his rookie year, and then won 10 more in the next 12 years before Russell retired. Trying to claim that he wasn't the biggest part of that just doesn't make sense, especially when he was the only person who was involved the entire time.

I want you to imagine, by the way, how great he (or Wilt, or Oscar...) would have been if they had had the benefit of modern day training techniques.

Yes and the players today have benefited more than players of that era. He’d have the same issues finishing and being the inefficient player now that he was then, and he’d struggle more now on offense and defense than in his own era.

Also, one important fact that makes everything you have said irrelevant, the Bill Russell that was drafted is the very 6-10 215 lb dude not some modified 6-10 250 lb dude or even a 215lb dude with more athletic ability.

So, there's, what, something magical about players now that they benefit more from training than the players in the 50s and 60s would have? You understand how insane that sounds?

Except for the fact that we are drafting these players as they were not as we pretend they’d be if they played a few decades later or did I miss that stipulation?

The one who won 11 rings in 13 years? That one?
