The official "let's impeach Trump" thread

As an aside: This exchange made me look at John Solomon's twitter feed. I didn't realize he was such a clown show.

I happen to know the person who wrote the Politico story about Jerry Falwell Jr. personally. He was a classmate of my ex-wife's. That Solomon thinks the real story is that a journalist wrote a story about a GOP-aligned figure using internal documents is hilarious given that he's holding himself out as an investigative reporter.

You can think of John Solomon as a clown, if you'd like, but the question is whether he's got his facts straight. He's also not the only one reporting the Shokin-affidavit story.

Shokin's affidavit flatly denies that there were any complaints about his job performance before Biden's visit. That is obviously wrong. I posted articles and photos from the six months prior showing Ukrainians demanding his resignation in the streets earlier in this thread.

Solomon is taking Shokin's statement (in an effort to avoid prosecution for a corrupt Yanukovich official, because he's a warrior against corruption obviously) at face value.

Solomon does not have his facts straight.

Does it matter why Shokin is providing an affidavit? The affidavit is accusing Obama/Biden of corruption or being complicit with corruption in Ukraine.

Even if the allegations are questionable, they give President Trump and Bill Barr a fair reason to discuss corruption, and Biden specifically, with the new Ukrainian administration.

And to answer your question, I had to look them both up on wikipedia.
I think you should impeach Biden and Obama.

One of the people you mentioned is the ACTUAL President of the United States. That person has vastly more power than everyone else you mentioned. This is a very good reason to care more about Trump than the other. You twit.
Yet who is and has been the lefts leading candidate for "The president of the United States"? Who represented the left in last election for "POTUS"?

Lol twit? Such childish anger.

Believe whatever you want. I believe that Gorsuch, Garland, Kavanaugh and everyone else all deserve the right to presumption of innocence. I believe that the media is repeatedly defaming Kavanaugh even though all they have produced are accusations... some of them wildly outlandish.
1. Garland?
2. The media isn’t making anything up, they’re reporting.
3. Most people do outlandish things at points in their lives. That is not a defense.

By the way, Kavannaugh got confirmed, so I’m not sure what you’re up in arms about.

Impeachment of anybody would be terrible for this country. Glad one side is bigger than that. Sadly the socialists main goal is to undermine and destroy this country.

Yes, the "socialists" want to destroy the U.S.. That's item #1 on the "socialists" agenda, and there's no item #2.

I can't wait until real freedom loving Republicans finally root all the socialism out of the U.S..

No more public schools.

No more public roads.

No more police or fire departments.

No more social security.

No more medicare, medicaid,.

No more military.

No more FDA.

We're gonna be so ****ing free once the Republicans finally get rid of all this socialism. Because that's what they want to do, right?

The Constitution is the very fabric of our nation and your candidates are openly against it. Why do you want my guns? I haven't broken a single law yet you want my constitutional rights away. Can't fight tyranny with bare fist.

A) John Solomon is the guy who keeps putting around Lutsenko's stories unquestioned, so I take his reporting with a grain of salt on Ukraine.

B ) What is the connection between Burisma and BlueStar Strategies? The one page memo doesn't mention Burisma anywhere in it, and there's no indication that's what the meeting was about. The only connection I see in the article is that Solomon refers to BlueStar as Burisma's "American lawyers." I can't independently verify that. There's one other story I can read that links the two firms, which is a New York Times article. That article, however, has some pretty glaring factual errors and doesn't explain the relationship between BlueStar and Burisma either. It also cites an earlier John Solomon article as the source for the connection. Burisma isn't listed as a client on Blue Star's company site. Blue Star isn't mentioned anywhere on Burisma's site.

The only connection that Solomon cites is that Hunter Biden is also on the board of Blue Star - which I can't find any other reference to that isn't John Solomon or citing John Solomon's May article. Blue Star's corporate documents and web page make no historical reference to Hunter in any year.

I guess my read on this is - it's ********. Solomon is implying a link because Blue Star is associated with Clinton people.

C) The memo is about characterizations of the Ukrainian interaction with a British tax invasion investigation into Burisma's founder. It's not about Shokin's performance generally.

Honestly, I don't think the article makes any sense in comparison to the documents it cites.
The names and events are still somewhat confusing to me, but it appears that Lutsenko has recently made statements in favor of your interpretation of these events, not those of John Solomon. Yesterday Lutsenko said that his investigations have cleared (and never even suspected) Hunter Biden of any wrongdoing. So you are taking Solomon with a grain of salt because he's sharing the stories of an actor whose interpretation differs from his?

Actually you're right. Social Security is running out of money. I won't see it. As far as the rest if you really think that's what socialism is, you should read a book.

None of the candidates are against the Constitution. You're a damn joke with that ****.

I don't want your guns. I'm not against gun rights at all.

No one is going to take your guns, even if they want to... There will be no amendment passed that will allow your guns to be taken away. If I thought that was even sort of a remote possibility it would definitely affect who I'm planning to vote for. As it stands, the Democrat candidates can express their desire to pass significant gun legislation all they want, it's not going to happen.

Hi, I’m what you would probably call a socialist (but I’m not, really).

I want to dismantle certain things, sure. Bad things, like insane military spending and the apparatus of greenhouse gas emissions that will kill us all. I also don’t like economic imperialism that has a history of using veritable slave labor and that gets foreign leaders deposed, and whose replacements murder dissidents. I also know nationalism is silly at best.

I want people in this country to have resources that residents of every other country with money (but all of them with less than us) has, such as healthcare for people. Those people like their healthcare by the way, and most of those countries rank above the US in health and general well-being.

I don’t think that constitutes wanting to destroy the US unless you think the US is bad.

I've read a few books...

You seem to think that all the Dems want to turn the U.S. into a socialist dictatorship. I think you need to read a book, and not Horton Hears a Who again, something without pictures.
