What's new

The official "let's impeach Trump" thread

I think he's referring to Julie Swetnick. Her claims didn't get much traction, probably in some part due to her being represented by Michael Avenatti.

What is kind of interesting though is her claim that Mark Judge and his friends would get girls drunk and then take turns having sex with them.

Apparently one of his girlfriends recalled Judge talking about it, although he seemed to think it was consensual.
Lol, you don't think that got much traction? It was a huge news story when it broke.

It didn't get as much traction as the apparently more credible accusations of Blasey Ford or Ramirez. And even then the traction they got obviously wasn't enough to make a difference.

And people wonder why women don't come forward...

The **** are you even talking about?

No one on the left is saying that being aware that certain crimes exist means you must have considered doing them.
Blaming someone of rape, marching into Washington, again blaming someone of rape, speaking of impeachment off such little evidence.

Now I don't know if he's guilty or not but doing what the left has done to Kavanaugh with such shoddy evidence is disgusting. I honestly don't wish that on my worst enemies. The way you viewed that post is exactly how I view those who constantly say Kavanaugh is a rapist. Is sick. It's wrong.

Witness testimony of the alleged victim is accepted as evidence every day in courtrooms around the country.

So you're saying that Trump and NPC D4617 are actually the same person? Makes sense. I was starting to wonder why I never see them together.

Yeah, sure, that's what I'm saying. Lol.

I just never forgot NPC D4617's answer from that old thread. And when I saw this Washington Post scoop, I found it interesting that a guy on this forum, who likes to troll liberals, he admitted as much to me in one of the threads, thinks the same way as our Troll-in-Chief. And that fact makes sense to me.

Just something I didn't forget, if only because we discussed it at the time, and it cannot be denied that we have interfered in the politics of other nations, and on the sly, via the CIA. And, like I said in the comment you are replying to, I'm guessing that is the attitude of some percentage of Americans. I also recall that, at the time I posted that "Is Russia trying to help Trump?" thread, some responses amounted to "yeah, so what?" That also greatly puzzled me, since, at the time, I agreed with John McCain that it amounted to an attack on our country. And, so I did wonder, how could any American respond to an attack with a "so what?" response?

So, I was thinking about all that when I made the comment you are replying to. Just a personal aside I suppose, I do that now and then. Forgive me, lol....

Ok, I get that. But besides not knowing when, where, how, it happened, and having absolutely no witnesses there is little to no evidence it actually happened.

It's also came out that Ford's lawyer admits one of the reasons she went after Kavanaugh is his political stance.

There's plenty of room to question this. The left acting like it's 100% is flat out disgusting.

I love how a handful of posters keep pretending that the whistleblower hasn’t provided any evidence and that everything he/she said is just rumor. They act as if this impeachment inquiry hasn’t already uncovered mountains of scandal that would’ve rocked any administration.

1. I mean already we know the accuracy and urgency of the whistleblower complaint. This is noteworthy.

2. The complaint has demonstrated that this was an ongoing effort made by many in this admin, including not just the president’s Personal lawyer but the sec of state and AG to manufacture dirt on Biden by blackmailing Ukraine.

3. We have learned that the president’s inner circle has tried to hide politically embarrassing phone calls to dictators on a secret server.

4. Others have been implicated in corruption. For example, HR McMaster claimed that communications with the Russians were “wholesome” and “appropriate” interesting descriptions now that we have learned that trump told Russian officials in those communications in 2017 that he didn’t mind their attacks on our election. So now it raises the possibility that HR McMaster, Mattis, Kelley, and Tillerson might’ve been witnesses to similar coverups.

5. Trump and Rudy have already admitted to blackmailing Ukraine for dirt on Biden. That is wrong, unethical, anti-democratic, and illegal. This whistleblower has provided us with evidence on how this was done. But Donald and Rudy have already admitted to the crime. Evidence has already been provided now, we don’t have to rely on “hearsay” as trumpers claim. We already have a confession. Now we’re just working on sitting through the mounds of evidence and learning almost hourly more about who else was involved in this massive crime family.

Methinks these posters will have trouble maintaining their shield of denial and will move the goalposts in the upcoming weeks.

I don't think we are actually acting like its 100%. My position, shared by most others on the left, is that women generally ought to be believed when they claim they were assaulted, and a their claims should be investigated.

I didn't find the "investigation" into Fords claims satisfactory as it was hamstrung by the White House and unnecessarily limited.

Again, there was a witness, you are asking for additional witnesses, which seems impossible considering the alleged assault occurred behind closed doors with only Ford and the perpetrators present.

$50 that Trump will not get impeached by this time next year.

Ok who are the first hand accounts and when and where did the allegations happen? I could be wrong but hearing something happened holds absolutely no weight in court. It may be evidence but it proves nothing.
I feel like we're going in circles. All of the women who have come forward have given first hand accounts.
