This isn't a diss track, but we're in it to win it this year if he plays great. It needs to happen now.

The loss against Memphis sucked. We were reminded last year what one loss can mean come playoff seeding. I can't help but put most of the blame on Conley. Yeah Green was asleep and Bradley was pathetic. Bojan only shot 5-16(31%). Royce was 1-5 FG. Ingles didn't do much at all. But Conley played 35 min. He used only one of his fouls. He was 5-19 FG(2-8 3 pt) for 26%. He was 3-5 FT. He only had 3 AST. He had 4 REB and 1 STL. To contrast, even though Mitchell sucked from 3pt(1-8) he was still 9-21 overall, he was 10-10 FT, had 9 REB, 5 AST, 2 STL and 1 BLK.

To give an overview after 12 games for Conley:

His career assist average is 5.7. After 12 games he is at 3.9.

His career FG% is 44%. After 12 games with us he's at 35%.

His career FT% is 81.8%. So far this season he is at 76.5%(last year he was 84.5%)

Last year he had 5.8 FTA/game, this year 4.2

I also hope ingles funds his 3point shoot...
28% from 3 is way off for ingles.

And you know what? Im confident both of them will raise those percentages

I hope he funds it, too. He could even do so with that extra $14M he got. I’ve never seen a three point shot so well funded, but he and the rest of us deserve it.

How much does it affect Conley's game that Royce can't be counted on to score?

Yamers with the glass half-full. Amazed you didn't refer to him as the meat-hanging-off-the-bone corpse of Joe Ingles.

What are Conleys stats for the last six games
Those should be more in line with his career stats

37% on 32-85 FG over the last six games. Also 3.5 APG. His assist avg. has gone down since the first six games.

Should Conley be shooting 19 shots? We have Don, Bojan and now Rudy. Maybe Mike would help his game by focusing less on shooting and more on distributing. Maybe even try Jingles as starter to take pressure off Conley and jump-start Joe, as some people have advocated for just for Joe.

Why now?

I'd say it needs to happen down the stretch and in the playoffs. And all the time before that is when you work out the kinks.

Clippers got George back and are going to go on a tear, Lakers are 9-1 in their last 10, Rockets are the hottest team in the league with seven straight, and the Nuggets are ahead of us. Suns look good even without Ayton. It's going to be tight for home court in the West and we can't lose to teams like the Grizzlies.

All those teams will lose to a Grizzlies-like opponent a few times this year though so I'm not too worried about it, but we can't give away too many of those games so it does suck to give one up like we did Friday. We just can't lay too many more eggs like that if we truly want to contend this year.

I think that his shooting and playmaking are connected and it's kind of a broken circle, he probably still overthinks things and his shot suffers from it but also because his shot doesn't fall he struggles to distribute ball better.. He is not Rubio who is used to missing all over and concentrating on other things lol. He is a good shooter, has good form and arch on his shot so it has to get better. And the only way to get out of it is to continue shooting. Anyway he was trending up untill that game in Memphis and I can't blame him for that one cause you could see dude nearly cried when they showed a movie about him. Once he starts hitting shots regularly it will boost his confidence and open other options for him. At least that's what I hope for..

Conley seemed very dissapointed in his performance last game.i think it was a game where the emotion got the best of him.He did show signs of improvement before last game so if he is going to be mountain mike this year his play should improve pronto.
