This has been a topic of debate, the sexualizing of women's breasts but not men's. What do you think?
Personally I think this is a sexist throwback to Puritans that established the social norms of this country early on that needs to go away. This type of thing has exactly the power we give it. There is nothing inherently sexual about a woman's breasts. It's societal.
And if the argument is religious only even that is problematic. The Bible never differentiates between a man's chest and women's breasts. Mostly it refers to covering up ones nudity and doesn't make a gender specific statement. So it's hypocritical for Christians to say women should cover their breasts but men are just fine going around shirtless whenever they want. Removing stigmas like this would go a long way to leveling things out between the sexes imo. Not that it's that easy but it's another topic that I think is just stupid to criminalize. My daughter walked into my bedroom when I was getting dressed once after a shower, should I be arrested for lewdness? Granted this woman did flaunt it outright, which is the problematic part of this imo. But fundamentally this shouldn't even be a thing, imo.
