2020 NBA trade deadline discussion

We aren't trading DM, Gobert, Mike, Bogey, Royce or Joe. This pretty much means that ideas involving us acquiring big names or even guys who are playing well like Marcus Morris and Davis Bertans are a waste of time. Not happening. We just don't have the assets to acquire those guys. We need to be looking at buy low targets who can help our bench. Guys other teams aren't making use of on their teams and might be willing to trade. Guys who could get bought out.
 
Which team says no to Bojan for Satoransky and Markkanen?

Lauri’s really regressed this year and I wonder if they’d prefer a proven vet like Bojan to put alongside Lavine and a bunch of youngsters.

I would do that deal. I don't think it's the right move for Chicago though.
 
I think our most likely move at the deadline is trading Exum. Seems like he's firmly out of thed regular rotation. And for a team that views itself as a contender it just doesn't make sense to have a player making what he makes riding the pine.

Most likely trade partner is a rebuilding team whose best players are on rookie deals. Salary won't be a big deal to team in that situation because his contract will expire before they need the money available. Exum would also be valuable to a team in that situation because he's still young and they'd have 2 years to work with him and see how he develops.
 
Alright @infection i done figured out how we get ya boy Marcus... we talk with him and Markieff... get them to switch spots... we then trade with the pistons for “Markieff” who would have less trade value and it’s a much easier deal. We get Marcus and Markieff upgrades from Detroit to NY the rest of the year. I think it worked on a Sister Sister episode once.
 


Someone else with Knicks connections talking about the Knicks possibly having interest in Exum.

Lavine would be gone before Lauri, so if you're being realistic would want to swap those names.
