Farewell to Dante

When you think how many lottery picks Jazz wasted and how many gems they found in second rounds maybe Jazz should just trade their lottery picks for second round picks. Exum, Burke, Kanter, Burks, could have had Thompson, Leonard or Kemba instead of Burks and Kanter, Giannis instead of Burke and Jokic, Saric or Lavine instead of Exum.
Besides Mitchell we really sucked drafting in lottery.

Oh for ****, after spending every day for the last 5 or whatever years, every single damned day, writing dozens of posts doing everything you can to destroy the guy's confidence and reputation, he's gone, and do you just let it go? No you are still wishing him failure. Guess what you miserable SOBs, he's in the NBA and you're not. I hope he has a fantastic long and happy life with the millions of Jazz bucks he's made, whether or not he comes back to be a better player. Merry Xmas. Rest up, because in 2 days you've got to come back and do full time work tearing down the rest of the Jazz players. It's what you Jazzfanz do. I don't know why you work so hard at it unless somebody is paying you to do it.

If posts on Jazzfanz are the reason Dante has no confidence, then he will never make it. Like you said, he's got plenty of bucks. And he's got skills enough to be a good player overseas if he wants. We'll see what happens next. He's still young. Just that the Jazz have been patient long enough.

You're an idiot. This forum drags down every Jazz player every day. It does have an effect. Ten or twenty "fans" spend 40 hours a week manipulating public opinion to make sure everybody in the world thinks every Jazz player sucks. Take a psychology 101 coourse you friggin moron. Self image is shaped by public image. This forum is THE JAZZFANZ COMMUNITY as far as the rest of the world is concerned. You spend every waking minute tearing down the public image of 14 1/2 players on the team. Why should the players give a damn about playing their best for such hateful fans? Why should any refs care about giving the Jazz players their fair share of calls when the team's own fans don't think their players deserve to be treated fairly? Why should other players or the public in general have any respect for Jazz players when Jazz players get no respect from their own fans? Why should free agents want to come to such a toxic environment? The inner circle of posters here seem to want the team to be bad. I wouldn't be surprised if many of them have ulterior motives..

I think you overestimate the influence of this community. And if you really have been part of it and read my posts over the years, you would see I have been a Dante supporter throughout his tenure here. It is just this year that I have had to face reality and I think Dante has too, that he needs a fresh start. As I said earlier this year, it's in the best interest of both Dante and the Jazz that they move on from each other.

Holy **** dude, I guarentee you the vast majority of Jazz players to ever play here have never heard of this this site and the ones the did probably skimmed it a few times and chuckled to themselves due to the craziness. Also 99% of Jazz fans dont know this site exists. Get a brian, moran!

There aren't very many teams that couldn't run up a very similar list (and you forget Rudy, and Deron). Burks, for example, wasn't a bad pick at all IMHO. In addition to those guys, there's Haywood, who after all was a good pick. Dante obviously didn't turn out well for us, but I really do believe the most important factor was injuries. Kanter was solid for some years, although clearly not a very good 3rd pick.

How great would it be if we were that influential? Id finally have a purpose in my life, a reason to wake up each morning.

Regarding whether players were aware of the site, your guarantee means nothing and is based on nothing. I think you are wrong. The only way you could possibly know this is if you have personally talked to a large sample of all the players that have played for the team over the decades this site and it's predecessors have been here, and specifically asked them about this site to find out if they had heard of it. Even if they said that they hadn't , AND you polygraphed them to make sure that they were being honest and not just downplaying their awareness because they didn't like the site, the very action of asking them about it would mean that they then knew about it, invalidating your conclusion.

Have you ever read JazzAvenues threads, and what they say about their teams?

You wouldn't do it alone, but 10 or 20 dedicated a holes working together could have influence.
"Every great thing accomplished in history was started by a small group of dedicated people."
Famous quote misquoted from same dead famous person.

This is powerful

Best wishes for the guy. If he was disgruntled he kept it in house. Hope he finds a fit somewhere and gets some playing time
