What's new

Jazz vs Kings 7:00 MST.

We had 4 players score 20+ tonight. I wonder when the last time that happened.
Last week. Before that, I honestly have no idea. I tweeted people like Andy Larsen and Locke and nobody ever looked into it.

If Clarkson can come in from day 1 and light it up for us, how many games do we have to wait for Conley?

Yeah but I think it has more to do with expectations. Conley was brought in to set the table and eat the scraps. Clarkson was given carte blanch at the buffet line.
Bogey stepback 3 is legitabilty

One of the best escape move sidesteps in the league. Thurl pointed it out tonight and it's true.

The easy part of our schedule is about to end and we're gonna have to face tough teams night in and night out. The doubters and boo birds will be back soon.

Oh I'm sure.

I know we've gone through an easy stretch in the schedule here. But our high level of play has little to do with who we're playing. We're just really REALLY good.

I know people get hung up on winning streaks and whatnot. But thats not what is exciting to me. What is impressive to me is our level of play. Our offense has been insane and our defense is still well above average (with room to improve because we've seen better).

We beat some good teams early in the year but we were playing like doo doo and I wasn't feeling excited. We just lost one to the Pelicans and I was fine because it took an off night from us and an AMAZING night from them for them to barely eek it out.

As long as we're playing this level I'm gonna be excited. Even on the occasion that we lose.

Seems like an indication to me that Snyder has loosened up as far as giving more people the green light. Whatever it is, from an aesthetic standpoint it's great to watch.

Don't they play like 3 road games in February? That seems manageable.

Yeah just 3 road games but it's still a pretty tough month. Houston twice, Dallas, Denver, Miami, Boston, Spurs, Portland twice.

Tonight is the first night where I felt like I’ve consistently seen the team do what I envisioned over the summer. Smooth pick and rolls from Rudy, Mike, Joe, and Donovan, then spacing and the ball flying around the perimeter for the three to drop.

Now that that chemistry is coming together, and that Mike is back, and Exum has magically become Clarkson, I’m confident. Solidify that backup 5 spot, though. I’m not worried about Indiana at all.

Is there anyone still questioning whether or not we're a contender? This team is insane. We have so much firepower. So much isolation/mismatch ability. So many creators. So many shooters. Ideal spacing.
I'm still questioning it. The only good team we've beaten in the last 12 games is the Clippers. That was literally the only game that impressed me.

In the upcoming games against Indiana, Dallas, Houston, and Denver, if we go 3 for 4 in those games then I would say we are shaping up to be contenders. Otherwise the wins are simply due to the super easy schedule.

The Jazz do such a good job spacing the floor with their shooters, I wish we had a big, athletic wing who could drive hard to the rim to take advantage of it. So far, Mitchell and Clarkson are breaking the paint with regularity. I just wish we had someone bigger who can do it.

The Jazz have had one of the top offenses in the league during this past stretch. The question is how many good defensive teams we've played. Sacramento's defense tonight was non-existent.
