I would assume the guard cancelled the play to have personal glory. Or he was scared of making a mistake and not even getting a shot off.
 
Kanter would have GUARANTEED drawn contact to the very least if he received the pass on the pick and roll
 
Tunceri should be glued to the bench against Spain tomorrow. He starts the game with the matador defense, and ends by ignoring a wide open Kanter streaking to the basket in lieu of a fade-away three pointer. Why is this guy even on the team? Onan is 10x the player.
 
Props to Berisha though. He is by far my personal favorite Euro player (other than Kanter) that I have seen thus far.

Despite this, lets rejoice with the fact that Turkeys best player by far today was Enes Kanter, who had what, 19 points?

Its even more infuriating when you consider Poland's best big man just fouled out of the game, leaving a very small and very weak Polish frontcourt.
 
Turkey should just go big, and play these 6 guys big minutes:

Asik
Kanter
Ilyasova
Hedo
Preldzic
Onan

These guys at least tend to play tough D and try to get the ball to the basket (Hedo being the exception...but he makes good things happen sometimes). The rest of the team is junk. Pure garbage.

Edit: Savas deserves more minutes too. The coach should just be committed to playing BIG. The scrub guards aren't helping. Playing Ersan at the 3 is the solution.

He is actualy Kosovar of origin, which coincidentally is where my family is from. He definitely pulled a Kobe-esque clutch shot there at the enfd of regulation

It actually reminded me a lot of Dwill. Isolating the big man, then just shooting a calm jumper over the top.

no Tunceri is normally good, today dont know why he made that shot, and he had trauma in the last game, i guess it still has effects damn it, i dont know why he tried a step back 3 pointer with 1 point difference, you arent even kobe why would you try that

He ****ing lost the game for his team Sepanol, seriously destroying their tournament chances in the process. His Keister should be POSTED on the bench

they already get most of the mins, but only for 4 positions, someone has to play pg u know and obviously we dont have tony parker
