TURKEY-SPAIN : Revival of the Phoenix

Why are you asking that question? I'm saying that he will be like most rookie big men. If you read the comments on the board from most posters, they were talking about how he would have no trouble staying out of foul trouble. Of course, I will be labeled as a Kanter hater because I'm being critical.

your talking right, but we should not forget that he is just 19 years old and hasn't really played organised basketball for the last two years. but everyone who thinks kanter won't have foul problems in the nba, thinks wrong. i agree with you cyrone, but he will learn. some are expecting him to dominate everything, just have some patience guys...

You cant say Kanter is notorious at fouling. He was pretty good so far. I think it was too easy calls. He loves to make contact and if referees would be tending to call every contact of course he will be in foul trouble but at least he doesnt make those clumsy fouling mistakes like boozer who was also getting the point over his *** plus the free throw

I may have missed it, but I never saw Cy say Kanter was 'notorious at fouling.' He simply said there will be a learning curve against the NBA elite big men. Have to agree with that, no? I was one, by the way, that said he doesn't foul. I stick to that, but agree he will have some amount of learning curve.

Boozer plays against NBA players. Kanter has been playing against Europeans. Not saying Kanter will be as bad as Boozer, but lets not compare the two when they guard players who vary wildly in talent, skill, and size.

He got pinned deep in the post 3-5 times by Gasol. Either got scored on, or fouled all but once were a double team stripped Gasol down low.

He is not freaking archibald from GB, he is Marc Gasol, its normal he can score a couple of points against Kanter. At least Kanter didnt get a point scored like he dunked over Gasol

I think eventually Kanter will be a much better defender than Boozer is. But there are going to be some serious growing pains- especially with him picking up too many cheap fouls.

Honestly i think i can be a better defender than Boozer, so lets not insult Kanter by comparing his defense to Boozer anymore. I think he is pretty good but he still has lots to learn in the game, in both ends. He has fundamentals he lacks game experience

i want the old nba rules back. now they seem to whistle everything, just a little body contact is enough. some physical play should be allowed at least amongst big man, imo.

someone was talking about hating preldzic cauz of exaggarating fouls i guess,, not navarro i hope

No, I was hating him for completely faking fouls. Acting like there is contact when there is actually zero contact. Like rearing your head back for no reason during a drive.
