NFL Talk

I selected Greg Little as one of my late round picks in my fantasy league. He looks super talented and I've heard he's going to start immediately. Considering they're playing the Bengals, I think he could definitely be one of those Week 1 surprises that racks up big numbers.

Do you have any impression of him yet?

MoMass and Robo are listed as the starters. Mass had a bone chip in his foot and is just recovered, He missed all of preseason. I think Cribbs will start the Bengal game. Both Cribbs and Robo have looked miles ahead of what they showed the last couple years. All the powers that be have indicated the offense will spread the ball around to everybody. The Browns are installing the WCO and the Bengals have a bunch of LBs that are terrible in coverage. I expect our TEs and backs to get a lot of rec's in this game and Colt will have a good game.

Little will get on the field and is really, really talented but probably will be more productive later in the season as he gets re-acclimated to football. He did miss all of last year at NC. By week 6 or so he either is a starter, is hurt or, uh, isn't that good. Little is absolutely lethal in the red zone, however. He's got size, great hands and 40 inch ups. It is entirely possible he only gets 2 catches, yet one is a TD.

Also the Bills need a QB so that is another possible spot and although not likely it wouldn't be a far move if Carolina picked him up so they don't have throw Newton to the fire.

Fitzgerald is more of a QB than Gerrard so the Bills are not an option.

I can see Gerrard taking a spot behind an established QB on a good team ala Vince Young with Philly.

Atlanta?
San Diego?
Green Bay?
NYJ?
NYG?
Baltimore?
New England?

Those were a few off the top of my head but not sure what their back up QB position currently looks like.

Gerrard should go to The Bengals or The Redskins.

He'd be starting for either team by Week 4.

This. The guy's solid. He beat Pitt in Pitt for God's sake in the playoffs...even though there was an obvious hold on the deciding play. And he's never had an above average weapon to utilize. Please don't tell me Lewis either. Guy's average at best.

Garrard will surely be picked up by someone. Seattle when they realize Jackson sucks?
How long before Gabbert starts in Jacksonville? I'd bet if not before the bye week, it will be the first game after.

The problem with Garrad is that he is so average it hurts him. With Garrad, you probably won't make the playoffs (unless you are a defensive/run team), and you won't completely suck (so you won't get high draft picks). You will just be meh, just like Garrard.

Manning out for the season could mean a really, really bad record for them. Which could mean Luck. What a way to reload. Ignore the QB position for 15 years or whatever, then just draft the best prospect since the last one you got. Simple.

Where do I drive the UHaul this weekend?
Fortunately for me, I own nothing!

I will say I'm stunned. I've never seen him miss a game in my life. I just can't figure out why his surgery and recovery was so botched with all the money he has.

Are they Colts really that bad? I think everyone is underrating them as a team, to a point were it's insulting.

Favorites to win the AFC South? Take your pick

Jags
Titans
Texans
Colts

I know many will jump on the Texans bandwagon and I do like that they have Wade Phillips as a D-Coordinator as I think he will do well with the talent they have but for some reason my pick is...................................................

Titans

If Hasselbeck has anything left in the tank they have one of the best O Lines in the league, one of the best RB's in the league, Kenny Britt (If he can stay out of trouble), and a good defense.

Maybe its because I am already sick of hearing everyone give the Texans the AFC South crown when they haven't even made the playoffs in their history. The only thing I hope for them is that Andre Johnson has a great year (Fantasy wise for one of my teams & because the dood is just a stud )

Peyton had another surgery today. I'm guessing he misses at least half the season.

Manning has essentially been the offensive coordinator in Indianapolis for the last 10 years. To take this guy out of the equation exposes all the shortcomings that this franchises has had for the last few years that Manning has managed to pick up the slack for one way or the other - lack of running game, suspect offensive line, lack of depth at WR.

I think this team plays some competitive ball coming out of the gate; but as the season goes on without Manning; I really think you'll see the wheels fall the bus.
