What's new

Current NBA players fantasy draft to get us through these coronavirus days

I would say change the seeding and see if it is the same outcome.

I would say change the seeding and see if it is the same outcome.
I'm going to run the next season and see what happens. Technically this was for this current season. Our competition is for next season.

Then I'll run it a few times just to see if it's remotely consistent.

Here's year 2. This is technically the season we were supposed to be doing. Interestingly raptors lost in the first round. The finals came down to warriors and 76ers with the warriors winning. IMG_20200410_130719.jpg

Okay, I'm running the simulation a bunch more now to see the results. Giannis and Doncic get the MVP Everytime. The seedings are relatively similar every time. Wizards get a high seed every season but usually lose in the first round. Two rounds in a row they were the 1 seed and got swept by the 8th seed 76ers, the only time they matched up.

Celtics (have a high seed every time)
Celtics (jazz in the finals)
Rockets (#1 seed in the west every time)
Rockets (raptors swept in the finals)
Rockets (bucks in the finals)
Rockets (raptors in close finals)
Bulls (warriors finals)
Rockets (low seed season but still win)
Rockets (raptors finals again)
Clippers (Celtics finals)
Rockets (Celtics finals)

It's looks like it's pretty consistent that rockets are the best in this simulation. Celtics are probably the second and raptors 3rd.

But again this is for the current 19/20 season. The next season is what this competition is based on. This was a lot of time to run. Maybe tomorrow I'll advance and run 20/21 season to see. I think my team and a couple others like the wizards will fair better in that.

Year 2 this game really likes Doncic. They have him jump up a 99 rating by the end of the season and he wins MVP almost everytime, the only other to win is Steph. Here's the simulations...

Magic (sweep pelicans in finals.. beat magic beat 76ers 4 to 3 in semi game 7 on last second shot.)
Celtics (warriors finals 3-4)
Raptors (pelicans finals 3-4)
Raptors (pelicans finals)
Wizards (rockets finals 3-4)
Bucks (sweep warriors in finals, only lose 1 playoff game)
Raptors (pelicans finals)
Wizards (warriors)
Magic (pelicans finals)
Rockets (wizards)

I also noticed the team chemistry plays a big deal. My team is fairly low. I'm not sure what they are basing it on. Some are really high. My team starts at 25% while others start at 70%. I wonder if it's overlap with players from the previous season or something random.
