Jazzfanz Current Players Fantasy Draft: 1st round--White Chocolate vs. Eminence

Who wins?

Apparently RJ Barrett is the difference maker in this series.

Let’s not forget about Paul, Jrue, Tatum, etc. This whole argument has been fun but honestly not about players who matter very much in the series.

My starters are better and play great defense. It’s really that simple.

Paul + Jrue + Tatum > Lillard + Smart + Middleton

Issac + Adams > Griffin + Favors

That’s my honest thoughts on this series. It’s pretty cut and dry. My 1-3 is better and his 4-5 is better.

I voted Eminence but I do think he should’ve had Hayward at the 3 and Middleton at the 4. Not Isaac. Bring Isaac off the bench for Hayward nearly halfway through the 1st. Then let Hayward come in to start the 2nd and be the man for that second unit, playing the entire quarter.

I do think its close but Dame > CP, Jrue > Smart and I'd rather have Middleton than Tatum for 1 year. Tatum scores 2 more ppg and 1 more rpg per game. Middleton shoots 5% higher from the field, 2% higher from 3, 5% higher efg, 2 more apg, 10% higher ft%, higher PER, higher WS.

So Tatum is a good but Middleton bests him in basically every instance. He also gets to play with Giannis though, so that has to be taken into effect. Middleton is also a much better defender.

There is my reasoning for Middleton > Tatum next year.

And why I'd take his backcourt and front court over yours.

I’d love to see Tatum’s percentages playing with Giannis.

This is close. It feels like predicting 4 seed against 5 seed matchups in the west conderence only you don't get to know who has the homecourt.

That’s hilarious because that’s the exact matchup this was in the 2k sim. I was the 4 seed in the West and Eminence was the 5 seed.

Funny to know. I was following this draft, was interesting to see the order in which the players go. But I didn't pay attention to 2k sim results because I was too lazy to check which team is which and what players are on each of those.

Congratz to Eminence for drafting a very versatile defensive and a bitch to play against team around Lillard.

Isaac has DPOY potential.
Thybulle is one of the most distruptive defenders I have ever seen. Dude gets his hands on everywhere.
Smart is a bulldog. Makes everyone uncomfortable.
Adams is mean.
Clarke is athletic.
Middleton, Hayward and Theis are all smart team defenders.

These defenders also don't have that much of liability on offense. They all play well in a offensive system.

Em should pass this round and could go onto win it all.

I had the exact same thought.

I think people are not realizing how bad Griffin is now and are overrating Favors because he was a beloved Jazz man.

Favors is a great player. There is no overrating.

9.2 PPG, 10 RPG, 1 BPG shooting 62% from the field on 7 shots in 24 mins a game.

His per 36 is on par with Rudy’s. We all obviously know he won’t ever play that many but that’s how efficient he’s been this year.
