Utah gets Paschall, La Vine, and Carter Jr.

Since the consensus is Rudy iOS a top ten player that gets not even close to equal value and Mitchell as a top 20 player is seen as a more valuable trade asset, why are we talking only Rudy trades?

Contract situation, age, and fit.

A top ten player fits on any team
If he is a top ten player then he the least versatile top ten player in the league. We can’t ignore limitations... he wouldn’t fit or be a great allocation of resources on the Sixers for example. DM is under team control longer and cheaper. Not saying we should trade Rudy but to me if you have to move one it’s not really a question.

I think we can resolve the issues and roll forward with the current group. No reason to pick sides unless it’s just for fun hypotheticals to kill time until real news starts coming back.

How about Mitchell is less likely to resign when it’s his choice after his next choice. Gobert wants to be here he’s proven that.

You have no proof of this. It’ll likely be a very similar situation because I’ll be surprised if Donovan isn’t super-max eligible at that point. Hopefully by then they’ve fixed the ramifications of it on the cap. Also what bearing does any of this have today? Donovan is going to be here a while Rudy is up in one year.

I would love to put Isaac Okoro next to Mitchell. I think along with Wiseman and maybe Ball, Okoro has the most All NBA potential in this draft class.

I don’t have proof, but Mitchell seems to gravitate to making himself a bigger name and Star globally on top of everything else. The big markets will be very tempting to Mitchell, Gobert has already proven his loyalty, Mitchell will get an opportunity in a matter of years. Mitchell on a rookie deal will never be more valuable in commanding the most expensive assets.

How has Gobert proven loyalty? All he's done is sign a $100M contract and demand more touches on offense to the point he's taken possessions off defensively and pouted when it doesn't happen.

He used to play with a chip on his shoulder, but now that he's been DPOY and made the All Star team, he's started making demands on the organization.

Rudy hasn't proven **** yet lol. He hasn't been a FA and chose to stay and as was mentioned above has been pretty damn selfish of late. Donovan has shoes, underwear, socks, customized New Era hats, a store in SLC, and is out in the community 20 times to Rudy's 1. Donovan's made it, by the end of his next contract his brand will pretty much be what it is. Idk if he's content in a smaller market most or all of his career but he's one of the few players who can absolutely do everything from right where he's at and he's already proven it. He doesn't need a big market to get recognized.....like at all. What he needs to expand and solidify his brand is wins, specifically playoff wins. I haven't seen Rudy travel to Logan, Utah to watch an Aggie football game or Rudy congratulating Jordan Love, Tyler Huntley, and Zack Moss on them getting to the NFL. Or Rudy following local high school kids and congratulating them when they commit to BYU after meeting them at the state tournament. I'm real curious as to how Rudy's been more loyal cause he hasn't.

Rudy isn't the extrovert that Donovan is. I wouldn't expect those things. Mitchell knows he's loved here, and he's been given the keys to the franchise. Utah has helped him become an All Star and a brand in the league.

I see where Rudy is coming from, if the organization is giving slack to guys like Conley and Mitchell in some situations and not doing the same for Rudy. However, there's a positive way to handle it and a bad way to handle it.

Maybe the solution is to trade Mike Conley, move Mitchell to the 1, and bring in another guard or wing who, along with Ingles, can get Rudy the ball more when he's in an advantageous position.

I agree with whats said here, I just don't agree Rudy has really shown more loyalty than anyone else lol. I think Rudy’s been great here, I just think the guy claiming he’s been so much more loyal is a dumb take.

How can you spend so much time as a fan, still have no clue what is happening, then routinely call other people idiots?
