What's new

2020 Presidential election

I think everybody will speak and act differently than they did 30 years ago.

A better example would be a video of 5-10 years ago.

There are plenty of reasons to not like Trump, or believe he isn't fit to be president. Use those.

Really? Adding up to 775,000 disenfranchised voters to the largest swing state that typically has a .5 to 2% differential isn't potentially impactful?

I hope Trump hires you as is his campaign manager.

So trump loses by 7% instead of 5%.

he has bigger problems. Like the fact that 55% of the country thinks he’s an incompetent buffoon.

You’ll have to explain how “least of his problems” connotes “isn’t potentially impactful”.

you see the difference, I hope.

Trump’s an idiot and I’ll vote for Joe but I don’t see Trump’s dumbass comments as any sort of scary dimentia like I do Joe’s. Trump is just, well, not very smart or well-spoken.

This seems wrong.

and this seems unhinged. Imagine any other president cheering the suffering of Americans losing their jobs. Imagine the outrage if Biden did that.

"And yet, many of these same men expect none of those characteristics from Trump, who is a vain, cowardly, lying, vulgar, jabbering blowhard. Put another way, as a question I have asked many of the men I know: Is Trump a man your father and grandfather would have respected?"

I think it's a lot more than 55%. Problem is that the 45% you didn't include will still vote for him no matter what even while thinking he is an incompetent buffoon. Cause he is on their "team"

Though I quoted his post with a humorous picture I agree with you.

I watched the video and it wasn't a big deal to me.

ive seen others. He doesn’t seem mentally well. Apparently this is a sign of dementia. It’s common for dementia sufferers to be unable to Maintain their balance. That’s why they lean forward like your picture showed.

Those 10 things are very trumpy for sure. Maybe you are onto something here

Maybe. I’ve seen this on twitter a few times now. It wasn’t something that I really thought was a thing. But then after today’s video and looking things up, it’s made me curious. I was hoping someone on this board might have experience with this or medical info. I know my grandma had some issues right before she passed. But she was also wheelchair bound and in her late 90s. So not a good comparison.

I have quite a bit of experience with this. What you saw in the video appears to be someone restless. Imagine him sitting through one of your classes. What you’re seeing standout when you read this are the non-specific symptoms, of which, though insidious (and sometimes abrupt), are large deviations from previous baselines, of which none of these are new in any fashion to Trump. And frontotemporal dementia doesn’t have a 10+ year course.

But, in any case, why are these little things getting you really into this? I’ve managed to not opine at all on Biden.

I think Trump's posture is better explained by his obesity and the lifted shoes he apparently wears rather than some degenerative disorder, although I'm not a doctor.

His mental decline doesn't seem like dementia to me either. He's never been known to be a particularly empathetic person, nor well tempered, and the guy has always been more style than substance. It's probably just a lot more obvious now because he's speaking more often about subjects he has never given a single thought to before opening his mouth.
