Tough Day To Be In Law Enforcement

After all, this guy clearly is a threat to these officers and there was clearly no other option than to blow him away.

It looks like he was a threat. Why does he have to be a moron and keep walking.

Pretty blurry. Has it been confirmed that he was armed?

This situation is so sad. Not even sure what to say. If he wasn't armed, the officers that shot him should be in prison for a long time. If he was armed and not obeying commands.............that's a different situation. However, as far as I can tell, it doesn't appear that the guy made any sort of gesture towards the cops that would indicate they were in danger.

Also, why would the one cop be following the guy and then grabbing his shirt? Aren't they supposed to keep their distance better than that? When you are that close you really can't tell what the potential perp is doing.

I really don't know how this is going to get better in our country. All we can hope for is that cops that do bad things are punished appropriately. Better training. More selective application process. Mandatory body cams. We also need to give police a little less authoritative power. Too many of these guys are power hungry and seem to think this is the wild wild west.

No it hasn't waiting for details. He does have a record of carrying guns though, among many other charges.

There's about a 99% chance he was not just a good dude doting father, butttttt ..... cops just can't shoot you in the back because you are being inconvenient. This is much worse than Rayshard Brooks, who probably shouldn't have been shot but he was almost completely responsible for escalating that situation

“The president's son posted a video that showed lines of burning vehicles in the lot of a flaming car dealership, and wrote "Peaceful Protests."

The video, posted by another right-wing Youtuber, includes the caption "Up close look at the car dealership fire set by BLM arsonists in Wisconsin."

Protests and some rioting, which included looting and arson, broke out in Kenosha, Wisconsin following the shooting of Mr Blake. As of Monday, there is no evidence that suggests the arsonists were connected to the Black Lives Matter movement at either an organisational or ideological level“.

He was shot at close range. There was no need to use lethal force. Cop could’ve easily shot him in the arm or leg

Cops need more training. If they thought this guy was going to get a gun in the car they should have tasted him or tackled him before he got to the car. Lots of better scenarios.

I think the cop thought, with his training, his life could be in danger if the guy was going for a gun and shot.

Why let him get into the car?!

There were two cops and one dude. Two against one. They couldn’t tase him? They couldn’t detain him? And so what if the guy drives off? You have his name and license plate number, do you really think he’s going to be able to flee the country?

The inability for law enforcement officers to critically think at all just shows how rotten the system has become. An industry armed to the teeth and employing the dumbest in society. Amazing

He needs training to use common sense?
It's easy to Monday morning quarterback cops. That fact of the reality is people do kill cops and those disobeying orders are unpredictable.

I'm certainly not condoning the shooting, I'm just capable of understanding it from a different perspective.

The lack of common sense by, usually, both involved in these shootings hits the nail on the head.

I’ve seen cops tackle and tased suspects before. This cop needs training to tackle or pull a trigger on a taser? If he can’t figure out how to do simple things or simple common sense the only thing left to do is defund them and find a better way.

I'm sure he was capable of tackling him but he didn't. Why? Probably lack of training. Why let a threat get to a vehicle if you think he's getting a gun? I don't know what their trainings are but I do think American police officers are grotesquely undertrained and should have trainings every week or bi-weekly.

A lot of these shootings are caused because cops are trigger happy or scared and look for reasons to use their guns.

Why didn't they tase him? Because they didn't act fast enough of their feet to think of something before the use of lethal force. It's problematic af.

Cops. Need. More. Training.
