I think it is relevant in understanding why he may not have complied. By the accounts I have heard he was breaking up a fight and now he is about to get taken in... dude had a past so he knows he's going to jail... not sure if he is on probation or if he'd be tagged as a repeat offender and get a larger sentence. He was likely trying to avoid prison inc.
