Following Potential 2020 draftees

Hollinger mentioned a the background check isn’t completely clean on him... said it wasn’t a big red flag... no idea what he’s talking about.

Bey, Woodard, or Green will be available... if we pass for Tre Jones I will vomit.
Add Bane to that group... I think we take one of those 4 guys.

I think if the Jazz stay at #23, they'll draft Green, McDaniels, or Pokusevski, whichever one is still available.
I tend to think the Jazz would pick Tyler Bey ahead of Robert Woodard, due to Bey's defensive versatility. I think Woodard is probably a smokescreen (but then, I thought the same about Grayson Allen, so who knows...).
I'm not in on Bane right now. He's a combo guard with some limitations. He's like Deron Williams with half the skills. I might prefer Jahmi'us Ramsey or Elijah Hughes to Bane, tbh, since they have a true position.
Paul Reed is still a sleeper.

There’s always the secret hope that someone projected to go higher will slip and fall into our laps, but these three are realistic and honestly I’d be fine with any of them.

Also on The Lowe Post, Givony went in on Anthony Edwards.
I dont like some of this Givony post. In fact ima outright declare BS. "didnt push him by going to IMG"... The kid cruised to this top spot in the draft, that seems like something thats totally irrelevant IMO...

I loved Paul Reed when I first saw him. Just cure that damn shot. He can play a role or ....if he fixes some of his weaknesses - a steal.

I think he will be even better with the NBA spacing.

I would have taken Simons and Trent Jr. ahead of Grayson, personally.
This is pretty much lip service so I could care less. I’m not sure what Simons has done to warrant you to give that statement, sure in hind sight I might want Trent JR as well but he wasn’t even on my radar at the time, so it’s easy to point the finger now seeing how things turned out. This still doesn’t change what I said that Allen wasn’t a bad pick. In the low to mid 20’s wherever we got him.

From Tony Jones's article about Josh Green's workout and other draft stuff. Kinda surprised we like McDaniels. Doesn't seem like a J A Z Z D N A guy with some of his on-court behavior last year.

Would the Jazz take Green over Desmond Bane? Or Jaden McDaniels? Or Tyler Bey? That’s a good question, but I can see the thinking behind Green going before those guys. He’s a bit safer off the floor than McDaniels is, (this is not saying the Jazz don’t think McDaniels is a good person, because they certainly do). He’s got the upside that Bane and Bey lack. And he fits what the Jazz need, which is he is an athletic and big wing, who has real upside to his game and most importantly to his jump shot.

This isn’t to say that Green will certainly be the pick here. But, this is a solid mock, because even if Green isn’t the pick, this is the most likely player-type that the Jazz are looking for in this draft. Utah has cast a wide net in the predraft process. As mentioned, Bane, McDaniels and Bey are guys the Jazz like. They like Robert Woodard from Mississippi State, a 6-foot-7 wing who projects as a talent on both ends of the floor, and Elijah Hughes, a scorer out of Syracuse. The Jazz are also looking at true bigs, and Zeke Nnaji, a 6-11 power forward who played with Green at Arizona, is someone who will get a look. If someone like Jalen Smith from Maryland is around at No. 23, the Jazz may consider him. And Michigan State big Xavier Tillman holds interest as well.

That Jones piece on Green kind of just reads like fluff. When Mitchell worked out for them they had the employees on NDAs not to talk about anything.

Now just sharing their love of this kid with the world? Eh, bit skeptical. If he’s there though he may very well be the pick, because that’s a great range for him and he fits a need for us.

Someone’s angling for a raise.

How formidable would the Celtics be if they manage to patch up the few weak spots in an otherwise watertight rotation? It's entirely possible that Boston will find a cost-controlled backup guard in the late lottery to unseat Brad Wanamaker, or a potential rotation shooter to steal minutes from Semi Ojeleye. If Boston is able to consolidate its picks to move up from no. 14, the options only become that much more appealing—and could even give the Celtics a path to a more dynamic playmaking type. It must be nice to enter the offseason with one of the best young stars in the game, a conference-finals-worthy roster, and plenty of options all the same. — R.M.

oh im gonna disagree with that tony jones article being fluff.. That seems legit to me, its got legs. McDaniels is a kid who's watched his older brother go thru this process, and make some misteps, i think in a spot like Utah he'd probably settle in nicely..

Where the Jazz draft a player like that, with his upside, the value is close to too good to pass up.. I think the most important bit is right at the end, talking about his jumpshot, thats gonna be the deciding factor.

Best case scenario i think with McDaniels is u get a Rashard Lewis type of player. Who I think would be quite good in today's NBA.

Rashard Lewis was a 2nd rd pick that never, ever ever shoulda fell to the 2nd rd but he did.. I think McDaniels has that kinda talent..

HAHAHHAHAHHA literally lets just call this right now... I've been so on the $$$ with this draft here in 2020... probably more so than any other one i've posted about..

Seeing Ty-Shon Alexander at #32 in that ringer mock just made my day... I always knew that kid could ball!!! ALWAYS...

HE was a player that long long ago was ranked very highly, and then the services kept knocking him down, all the way to 3-stars someplaces... and it was unwarranted!!!

Thats really cool... and honestly stories like that are why ppl around here cant touch my knowledge.. I hit calls like that YEARS in advance...

Look at the 3 and 4 star players i profiled way in advance of this draft... ya know THEIR SITTING AT THE TOP OF THE BOARD IN THESE MOCKS....... (Patrick Williams, Isaac Okoroh, Kira Lewis) I rest my case... here in this draft is where i rest my case..
