He's certainly not big enough to be an off the ball player, not one that warrants a 1st rd selection. Whoever picks him will be grooming him at the point IMO, or have hopes he can pick that up.Can someone please explain why Quickley is consistently mocked in the 2nd round? Especially in a draft where there's a bunch of guards/players in general in the same tier? I don't think I've seen a mock with him in the 1st. Is his lack of size for an off ball player that bad? Is his ability to create separation and passing/playmaking that bad?
As far as creating separation, thats not really his forte, he's much more of a guy ur just gonna run off of screens...
As far as his passing/playmaking, I think it's markedly better than he's been given credit for... honestly.. He's really made tremendous strides in his game in the past few years, so part of the reason why a team is gonna take him is to be betting on further snowballing those gains..
u better believe tho with this condensed offseason upcoming, that some priority is gonna be made by teams in utahs range to take players that can help them now, and specifically i beleive its gonna be in the form of PG's... already u see players like Malachi Flynn moving up the board... So Quickly could be in that vein.
6'8.25" wingspan measurement for him at the combine will help him some recover. he posted some sooolid #'s in those agility drills too.
