What's new

Shaq

It's nice that we have now smaller pieces that fit much better together. The second unit of eg. Clarkson Shaq Joe Niang Favors has Joe and Favs pnr, Clarkson's wild ride and Niang's spacing the floor. George may be hidden on defense by Shaq and Favors.

Joe Ingles was very available. For a number of years, Exum was the most untouchable guy in the league.
Why do we care about this stuff... if a smoking hot girl wants to be your girlfriend you don’t ask if she’s so hot why didn’t some guy already snap her up.

I think Shaq is a great pickup for added depth. The D flexibility from the guard line is nice. Not sure how many minutes but if there are any injuries, he will be nice to have.

Everyone is like everyone else, always looking around for approval before making a move, or being embarrassed, thinking "I think she's cute, but maybe other people don't and they'll laugh at me." Too often we're very content to wait for the 'cool' guy to make a move for us to agree, 'yep, she's hot... I knew it. I could probably never land someone like that.'

nah very different circumstances. Point is Harrison has been in the league what 4 years ? Surely if he's going to be a difference maker he would've been snapped up before this ?
Danny Green, Bruce Bowen, Ben Wallace, Patrick Beverley, Roger Braille (overrated), etc. I think I'll nickname him Little Latrell. Or is it supposed to be Lil' Latrell?

Maybe he can be like Raja Bell, who was atrocious on O his first 3 years and then flourished under Jerry's system and Phoenix. Some players are late-bloomers.

Willie Hill has Jazz OU at 41.0. I might throw 2-3 grand on over. They’d basically need to hit what would be 48 wins in a normal, full season for me to win. We’ve hit that four years in a row and I feel like this might be the most complete team we’ve had.

Seems low.

Shaq started his career at Tulsa just as Clarkson left Tulsa to transfer to Missouri. Wonder if there's any story in there (such as if Clarkson might have been aware of/involved in the recruitment of Shaq)?

From Tulsa Coach Frank Haith as Shaq was graduating:

"For Shaquille, his skill level has just gotten better every year, and professional organizations saw that. He reminds me of another Tulsa guy and a player for us at Missouri, Jordan Clarkson. Like Jordan, Shaq was able to showcase his athleticism in our system. His willingness to work and revamp his shot, along with his improvement as as a pure point guard will make him a tremendous professional prospect. That, along with his insatiable appetite to compete makes him someone teams will want in their organization."

I don’t know about recruitment, but I know Clarkson follows him on the twitters.
