Quotes from preseason game 2 vs the Suns

That was an ugly quarter of basketball.
This was exactly my feeling. Fortunately we figured a few things out and got it together. I really hate when we struggle and Mitchell starts trying too hard, it makes the game cringe worthy.

On a positive note it's great to have ja's quotes thread back. Hope he's a busy, busy person this year!

Ehhh, I still think Booker gets a lot of empty stats. He hasn't carried teams like Mitchell has. But then again, Booker doesn't have a Gobert.

It's like the KAT vs. Gobert debate to me. One is shinier, but Gobert is just a better option if winning is your ultimate goal.
But KAT and Gobert are 2 completely different players. It's an apples to oranges comparison.

Booker and Mitchell are basically the same player now that Mitchell doesnt try on D. Mitchell is still better on D than Booker, but Booker is likely the better offensive player (MItchell could take a leap this year and surpass him, sure).

Booker is definitely the better offensive player. I think he lacks discipline with his shot distribution, though, and that’s where Mitchell closes some of the gap.

I really hope this isn't a reality and Mitchell gets back to making an effort. No one wants to max Rudy for only playing defense, how about if Donny only plays on the offensive side?

I think the regular season Booker has been better. But 2 of the 3 playoff years we've seen Mitchell step up and do something Booker never has. We also see Mitchell play defense at times in the playoffs. Maybe Booker would as well but he hasn't. I don't think swapping Mitchell and Gobert makes much of a difference for either team in the playoffs.

When Booker makes the playoffs then there is a discussion but he hasn't. Being the best player on a perpetual lottery team doesn't make you a great player, just means your the best player on a crappy team.
