No, this trade makes us worse short term and really doesnt help us long term either. I would rather just keep Conley and let him expire and maybe re-sign him if he fits better and its a good deal. Or my preference is to wait and see if a really good option opens up. The NBA landscape changes fast and could be very different come trade deadline. Keep our options open for a good deal, if one doesnt come then we can decide at the deadline if there is a decent option or just to ride with him if we are doing well.
I hope we can use his salary to land a solid player locked up longer that fits in with this team. But I think the most likely is we are in win now mode and we wont find a better player then him we can trade for. So we will roll with him and see.
