I personally think China doesn't want to share power with anyone. They would use Russia as a pawn if they could. To be fair, I think many countries have this mentality.

Russia is all about the bluster, though; moving on Ukraine is more about intimidation than anything. Economically, they're simply not in a position like they were in the 80's.
