Sounds like someone is projecting.Weird, he's always the one involved in the drama though, makes you wonder if the common thread is........him. He is a diva. He's a child. He shows it again and again and again.

Mitchell could be the biggest diva in pro sports history and it still wouldn't excuse our medical staff from blindsiding the entire team with the news that he was out hours before tipoff, a day after not including him on the injury report. What do you do as a team? The team staff clearly wasn’t comfortable with him playing, then he threw a fit, and went public with it to the media(just like the Rudy situation). The disconnect and confusion obviously is the fact there are two medical staffs and he’s only willingly listening to one. If you hold him out Wednesday he’ll just diva more with the media and make more of a public stink about it.
They should have, they probably would have won multiple championships if they had been more healthy in the playoffs. All I can say is that Karl or John would never have allowed this, and they were among the most durable players ever. We also have to trust Donovan. It's his body and he should have a say in this.
From what has been reported it was the shoot-around that morning they saw some things they didn’t like. Things can change day to day with an injury especially since the previous 3 days before that were the first time he’d practiced in a month. The Jazz staff aren’t innocent here, however, they were absolutely getting pressure from Mr. Diva, hence the “deepened tensions”, for weeks before that. So they caved to that pressure obviously, decided they weren’t actually comfortable with it, and pulled him. Maybe Mr. Diva should have been patient with the process. First he threw the Jazz medical staff aside 2 weeks in, took a shot at them in his first interview, and pressured them to clear him.Mitchell could be the biggest diva in pro sports history and it still wouldn't excuse our medical staff from blindsiding the entire team with the news that he was out hours before tipoff, a day after not including him on the injury report.
If there was any possibility that he was going to be ruled out, Mitchell should have been on the injury report and the medical staff should have communicated that possibliity to the team. They did not. As a result, our team got blindsided hours before a playoff game. From what has been reported it was the shoot-around that morning they saw some things they didn’t like. The medical staff is really not concerned with the media reports, who telling the rest of the team something. They are there to make sure the team is healthy in both the short run and the long run. Would you rather he had come back in, we won the game, but he reinjured it and was out for the rest of the playoffs?Mitchell could be the biggest diva in pro sports history and it still wouldn't excuse our medical staff from blindsiding the entire team with the news that he was out hours before tipoff, a day after not including him on the injury report.
I feel like you've completely missed my point. The medical staff is really not concerned with the media reports, who telling the rest of the team something. Would you rather he had come back in, we won the game, but he reinjured it and was out for the rest of the playoffs?
Their focus was probably on his $165 million dollar ankle and the long term well being of it. If he has a significant setback, or gets another injury because he Divad his way back too soon, it’s his fault. He always tells that story about breaking his arm after his mom told him God would humble him. That might be coming again. If there was any possibility that he was going to be ruled out, Mitchell should have been on the injury report and the medical staff should have communicated that possibliity to the team. They did not. As a result, our team got blindsided hours before a playoff game.
They should have said that they didn't like how he moved around in shoot around then. From what I gather the jazz didn’t like what they saw from how he moved around in shoot around. And I also heard that it was only Mitchell’s team working on him and they are the ones that cleared him. I could be wrong, I don’t know but the jazz staff never cleared him.
Dons team can’t clear him to practice and scrimmage... I get things can change but if he didn’t aggravate it in shootaround how much weight should be placed on how he looks in shootaround versus how he says he feels and how he looked in practice. If the shootaround eval was that critical then he should have been listed as probable or questionable... the Jazz likely get fined now. From what I gather the jazz didn’t like what they saw from how he moved around in shoot around. Dude, I just stopped conversing with that dude. We all know he has an agenda and is a completely bias lunatic.Mitchell could be the biggest diva in pro sports history and it still wouldn't excuse our medical staff from blindsiding the entire team with the news that he was out hours before tipoff, a day after not including him on the injury report.
Everyone agrees they could have done a better job relaying the message. And yes, some frustration is reasonable. Crying to the media, “deepening tensions”, social media posts, and the side drama from Mr. Diva are what are asinine, garbage, selfish, distractions that will now linger.....again.I feel like you've completely missed my point.
Like - completely.
If this were true you would think they would talk to the team about health related things. They are there to make sure the team is healthy in both the short run and the long run.
Things can’t change? Was the training staff supposed to notify the entire team during their naps? Shoot around likely lasted quite a while that morning. The time between when they saw what they didn’t like and made their decision wasn’t some giant amount of time. They should have said that they didn't like how he moved around in shoot around then.
Instead they said he was good to go and there were no setbacks or concerns and that he would play.
Then they didn't tell the team that he would be out and in Rudy's own words that had an effect on their play.

If you think I’d feel bad about trading Mr. Diva at this point, you’re wrong.lmao it's straight up trash referring to Mitchell has Mr. Diva. Some of you fans are just garbage people.
Frankly, Utah doesn't deserve Mitchell. If he smart, he'd probably bail this toxic franchise with their ****** fans before he spends his top years trying to win at a franchise that has been totally *** in the playoffs for most its history.
The trainers did Mitchell dirty. They were the ones who cleared him to play but probably got miffed that he trusted his own trainers more than them and decided to hold him out based entirely on spite. Mitchell called them out for their ******** and they had to quickly change their tone and put it out there he would play Wednesday despite the whole story about him being pulled so late was an apparent result of not liking what they saw (utter ******** because why say he's going to play emphatically knowing there's still two shoot arounds where this supposed issue could resurface again, forcing another about-face and yank him again).
But go on and hate arguably our franchise player.
God, some of you are ****ing morons.
He could have been more mature? Like when he blamed Rudy for 4 months or threw fits over social media comments? Nah. It is who he is. He’s a Diva. He’s a child. And I have no respect for him whatsoever. A PR, image protecting, selfish individual who does whatever he can to save face for him.Donovan is no diva. If you are a athlete and you wait for days being told they are a good to go for whatever sport you are in than suddenly being told no you can't compete just before you would be pretty pissed too, now think you play at the highest level, even more pissed.
Granted he could have been a little been mature and not make the cryptic instagram post about a bad jay z song. But I understand his frustration. He said he couldnt sleep at all last night. He's no diva.
Oh I don't think you'd feel bad because you're just the moron who'd actually support such a move. But hey, at least you own your stupidity. Congrats. If you think I’d feel bad about trading Mr. Diva at this point, you’re wrong.
