Quotes from Grizzlies' forums after Game 2-"Rudy Gobert just went Old Testament Book of Mormon on Jonas AND Jaren"

They led NBA in pts in paint. That's their style of play. If you attack the paint you will get fouled and shoot a lot of free throws. Most of those fouls where legit fouls. I would say there was two questionable calls one where Rudy really did not touch Ja on that jumper, and other where JJJ traveled but foul was called on Favors. That's it. Memphis for sure has right to complain about way more bad calls from that game.
You must have been watching a different game. I could list much more, but the one that stuck out to me was a foul on Conley in the 1st half that resulted in an And1 for Morant (He ended up missing the FT). For a second it looked like Conley was going to get his first career Technical and I came out of my seat when Quin didn’t challenge it. If I didn’t know any better, I’d swear somebody told Quin that if you lose a coaches challenge, it costs you a finger...

ok even if you add that I could list at least twice as many bad calls against Memphis. We got homecooking last game, no way to twist around it. Even Shaq said that during half time.... same as Perkins on Twitter.

I disagree... small contact was called on both ends. 2 of Brooks first three fouls were no brainer cross body blocks. The refs decided to call a tight game... that does not favor memphis. The three foul calls mentioned were pretty tough on our end. Not sure which foul calls Memphis has a lot of beef with. Hell we had just been called for a tiny amount of contact on a screen and the next time down Brooks handchecks DM as he's moving around a pick and clotheslines Rudy... ya dumb bastard of course they gonna call that... they just did. They weren't smart enough to adjust. Ja got a lot of touch fouls underneath... I was okay with it because that is how I thought they called it all game.

Memphis has a guy that can and probably should foul out of every game he plays. JV flops as much or more than Rudy so its tough to bitch when some of those don't go your way. Hell JV is the one bringing the contact.

There is a thin line between physical defense and a foul... no one knows where the line is because it moves seemingly from game to game and sometimes quarter to quarter. I used to get so frustrated when being guarded and the refs would say "hands off" because they don't want to call the foul that is happening. Some refs let that go and some refs blow the whistle. The refs last night blew the whistle a lot. It started early and both teams could have adjusted.

What? He may flail his arms trying to draw contact or during rebounds but you never see him fall to the ground like Rudy does. Actually it is sad that as former boxer Rudy flops so easily.

Saying "Even Shaq said the Jazz got homecooking" is like saying "Even Fox News thinks Trump was treated unfairly".

Shaq hates us or I miss something? With his pal Wade being part owner of the Jazz now I do not see how Shaq can be biased against us somehow.

Even Shaq and Perkins?

You do realize that you just named 2 of the biggest jazz haters in the media right?

There is no difference and JV does it on every play... it isn’t a flop until a guy hits the ground? He throws his head back all the time. I didn’t honestly see an egregious flop from Rudy last night. The one where JV clearly moves back into him to clear space was a smart play... no different than a guy taking a charge.

Here is tough guy JV who never flops...

That is ridiculous take talking about FT only. Tons of bad calls which went our way did not result in FT, this is just silly post.
Well you’ve got a lot to prove... simply saying tons of bad calls went our way ignores all the statistics and proves jack ****.

Name 5 obviously horrible calls that went against the Grizz... we’ve named 3 that went against us that were obvious...

They just called it tight and Memphis likes to play physical. It was tight on both sides. We got deep dicked in the first game so whatevs.

That one where he threw a tantrum about no call and should have gotten technical?

Or the one where JV got technical, for barely touching him with off hand after the shot when Rudy flopped all the way out of the key?

Wait, you think Memphis got screwed because they DIDN'T call an offensive foul on JV?

Weirdo

Not all that much bitching and moaning actually. Although it is pretty funny that a few accused Ingles of being dirty with their cheap shot artists.

Sweet you've named two instances... Sure Rudy should have been T'd up... Brooks did WAY more than that without a T in game 1. So sure you get one point.

JV did the same thing in the first half with the "I got hit in the face routine". He's one of the captains of the commemorative "Brad Miller - Is My Nose Bleeding? All-Stars".

So Rudy is going up to block a shot... gets hit in the face and recoils... his reaction seemed totally fine. Ever been hit in the nose... doesn't take much to knock you back. That's tough to judge... Rudy gets hit in the face with the off arm all the time.

So I will grant you one additional free throw... I want the 5 free throws given back that the refs gifted Morant and Jackson on the three completely phantom calls earlier.
