We could just build the wall and make them shoot over us. That is what we did with the Bucks and we were good at it. I think the Grizzlies could scheme around that with enough time, so I wouldn't roll it out immediately.First we don’t have a counter. We do our thing and adjust but we throw fastballs... some inside some outside but there isn’t really a breaking ball.
I think forcing Ja to score a ton might be the way to go but only if we cut off Brooks and the role players... JV is kinda tied to Ja so I lump him in with that two man game. With Brooks I’d like to see the guys play him tighter in the midrange and for Rudy to step up hard at the rim. He isn’t the passer Ja is at all... the offensive boards are the issue still but hopefully Rudy gets a couple blocks we can control... hopefully we stage a few boards.
The biggest issue I think we have is being too predictable on defense. We could even run the same scheme but having some disruptive perimeter defenders would be good. Royce is a positional defender... Mike is the best we have and is small... plus too important on offense to be too handsy and get in foul trouble.
I think we have enough to win the series... I think Grizz have benefited from a couple hot Brooks shooting games. He should give us one bad game or two... as long as we are healthy we should win even if our shooting isn’t nuclear.
Ultimately, making Ja score 40 from midrange is a decent strategy as long as you shut everyone else down. Once we get Spida back playing 38, I don't really think it matters what they do, honestly.
