He’s saying Mitchell is already the “best player in Jazz history” …

He musta been popping molly at a Vegas pool party, because he’s dead wrong.

if Donovan wins us our first championship, then I can agree with him. But until then he’s a distant third place to Malone and Stockton.

1. Malone
2. Stock
3. Spida
4. Dantley
5. D WiIl

It’s typical dumb SAS. DM might get there, but the statues are 1-2 and then you could make the case for Dantley, Pistol Pete, DWill, Horny, AK47, Griffith, etc.

When it’s all said and done, Rudy and DM will both be top five easily.

Donovan gets it done in the playoffs like no other Jazz player before. He has the same amount of 40-point playoff games as Karl in 165 less games. He is about to lead us to a 3-0 lead tonight with another 40 piece and pass Karl.

Donovan is great but he has a long way to pass Malone for #1
If he wins a ring maybe he's #2 ahead of Stockton
If Karl ends career with Jazz he would have been all time career scoring player
Karl has two MVP's DM may never get one
Donovan might have to get two rings to pass Malone for #1 maybe more

What? Make no mistake if Donovan wins a ring he is unequivocally the best Jazz player of all-time.

He's not even he best player on the team right now.
Anybody who actually thinks needs their head examined. Sure, Rudy is more important for the regular season. Consistency, system, etc.. But do you watch playoff basketball?

16 of 30 NBA teams make the playoffs. The playoffs aren't won by guys like Rudy. They help, but they can't take you anywhere. Are you watching the game tonight? Have you watched this series? Have you watched the playoffs?

Donovan Mitchell is our best player without a doubt.

Was just about to post something similar lol.

As for career, this is absolutely ridiculous.

If we are talking about this exact window of time, his skill set vs all other former Jazzmen, what he is capable of vs other former Jazzmen, it's an interesting conversation.

Donovan can simply take playoff games over. Malone had some dominant moments but he primarily did it as part of a system in an era when you could dominate in the post 1v1. Stockton was the leader, but he couldn't take a game over like Don because it was never his persona.

Very interesting discussion. If we find a way to beat this PG Kawhi team and Don keeps playing at this level, then he would have done something amazing.

If we just look at from a strictly skill point of view, then Malone is better. In this era, Malone could average 35 points a game for the season. And if we were to hypothetically swap Mitchell for prime Malone, who in the hell on the Clippers would be able to stop him?

You on some of those Stephan A Smith drugs?

Malone would send Zubac to the hospital if he even thought about getting in his way.

I actually say that with some amount of shame as I used to love watching Malone hurt people, but now I realize Malone was dirty AF. He legit tried to hurt people and succeeded many many times.
