I’ve given some thought to the idea of a series ending early if a team gets to 3-0.

No, can't do that.
But what can be done is all first round playoff series should be best of five. You win three, you move on.

He has a hamstring injury like Conley but we don't really know much about Harden's injury beyond that fact it is his hamstring. Conley's was a strain.

I think this year, more then any other for us, it is completely within our power to win it all. There is no team that we can't beat if we play our game. There is no juggernaut Houston team or bulls team or warriors team that are obviously superior. We are arguably the best team in the league this year. We need to go and take it.

Feels like there's a one-year window to really do it. That isn't to say things won't be there for the taking next year but this feels like 1999 all over again, right down to injuries. Let's hope the Clippers aren't that year's Blazers.
