Actually the only player better on 2k is Booker.Well, that would explain a lot. Let me guess again, DM is the GOAT and Rudy sucks on NBA 2K?
People around here don't realize that NBA championships haven't been won built around defense first centers for decades. The last time a team won while substantially built with a center defender, it was Tyson Chandler who was the 4th or 5th best player on that Dallas team.I like how people say we wouldn’t make the playoffs without Rudy like that is such a bonafide fact.
Our entire defensive scheme revolves around funneling players to Rudy. We wouldn’t keep the same scheme lmao. If you replaced Rudy with say a Capela or Turner and we had Tucker and Crowder or players like that we’d be a title contender.
Dame
Mitchell
Crowder
Tucker
Capela
Royce and Ingles off the bench.
Explain to me how that wouldn’t work.
LOL, this!WTF.......why would we stop there? Let's add Kawhi, KD, and Jimmy Butler.
Yeah, seems easy. I’m in.I’m not saying it’s realistic I am just saying you replace Rudy with someone like Capela or Turner and get wing defenders in his place and we’d be fine.
Yeah, seems easy. I’m in.
So Atlanta trades you Capela and assets for Rudy?If you couldn’t get Capela or Turner and decent enough assets to turn into wing defenders back in trade for Gobert something is wrong with people’s evaluation of him on this site.
You said Bam and I think you are right… we should get Bam too.LOL, this!
YEAH GUYS!! Who says you can’t win without Rudy…..like….say…..just spitballing:
Don
Dame
Ingram
Zion
Capela
bench:
Tatum
AD
Kyrie
whole new defensive scheme, BAM!
So Atlanta trades you Capela and assets for Rudy?
But why?
Well ****, there you go JZ. Do that deal, do the other one to get Dame and there’s your chip. Why wouldn’t they? They have assets why not turn a couple into a top-10 player in the league?
Trae and Rudy would be a perfect match.
Well, I do agree that Trae would be good for Rudy. I think Trae would know where and when to get Rudy the ball. One of the things that pissed me off this year was how often someone decided to throw a bullet pass at Rudy's feet in traffic. Conley was as guilty as anyone. Why wouldn’t they? They have assets why not turn a couple into a top-10 player in the league?

Keep parroting stupid talking points lmfaoPeople around here don't realize that NBA championships haven't been won built around defense first centers for decades. We can win a title with Rudy, but he can't be our 1st or 2nd best player. I feel like all these homers completely forgot what happened against the Clippers. Rudy was played irrelevant. They want to blame anything but the player, but Rudy doesn't dominate postseason games. It's not the NBA these days. I don't blame Rudy. He is who he is. And he's not going to learn how to stretch the floor or post up or do anything but roll.

Conley was not guilty of that. They had incredible PNR chemistry. Pretty sure their points per possession was by far the highest of any duo with enough volume for PNR.Well, I do agree that Trae would be good for Rudy. But my actual thoughts are thinking like this is stupid as hell. You play to win with the cards your dealt. The Jazz likely can't improve by trading Gobert. Their best bet is optimizing around Mitchell/Gobert/Conley. That means getting better defenders to cover for Mitchell's lack of defensive impact. Getting a more versatile roster to make adjustments with on the margins in playoff seriesIf youre playing the historical precedent for a championship card, then you trade everything to get a 6'8 star as your best player. Building around a small score first guard is basically unheard of to win a ring before the one ring Curry before acquiring Durant, and Donovan isn't Curry.
I saw it often. Maybe because it was something I was looking for. Not knocking Conley, because I think he did have overall have good PNR chemistry with Rudy. But way too many badly placed passes to someone that isn't built to go below his knees to catch.Conley was not guilty of that. They had incredible PNR chemistry. Maybe because you were looking for it you are remembering the bad ones more than the good ones.I saw it often. Maybe because it was something I was looking for. Perhaps. Just felt like every game there was a wtf pass to Rudy's feet.Maybe because you were looking for it you are remembering the bad ones more than the good ones.
